Up and coming Alt Rock artist Abandon The Fall delivered their third single “Running From Myself” as 2019 came to a close. In doing so, they gave us yet another reason to get excited about their melancholic aural mastery in 2020.
Maybe no artist will ever be as revered as Linkin Park for merging pensive Rock and Rap together. Yet, Abandon The Fall has proven that the alchemic fire which they started is well and truly alive. Switching between steady Rap vocals and bruising Alt Rock vocals ensured the track was as progressive as it was resounding.
The instrumentals offered shimmering melodicism amongst the intricacy and driving momentum. They spilt a myriad of reminiscences to an eclectic array of bands. From Interpol to NIN, it’s all there in a dizzying aural cocktail. Running From Myself is a beguiling track which demands repeat attention.
