Submit RnB Music

RnB has been part of the cultural landscape since the late 1930s. The term rhythm and blues first appeared in Billboard magazine in the 1940s as a descriptor for African American urban music that evolved from jazz and blues. RnB was loosely defined as music that rocked a heavy insistent beat and boasted danceability. It swept across youth culture like wildfire in the 50s, making way for kings and queens of the genre such as Marvin Gaye and Aretha Franklin.

RnB saw a massive upswing in the 90s, icons such as Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Mark Morrison continue to inspire the new generation of RnB artists who are putting their pioneering mark on the genre by creating grooving slow jams and fiery dance tracks by melding RnB with everything from trap to hip hop to electronica.

If your music can take RnB and soul fans back to a familiar place, submit your music, we will extend the nostalgic invitation.
