The Slow Day make their debut with the Indie Rock hit single “THE POET”

Indie Rock artist The Slow Day made their debut with the single “THE POET” on September 9^th, 2019. And it may just be the only single which I’ll hear this year which will appeal to Rock purists and those looking for curve-bending Indie soundscapes.

Usually Classic, Bluesy, or Thrash-style Rock holds fairly limited mainstream appeal, but with THE POET, the Manchester-based artist was able to make the chunky riffs, solid basslines, and soaring vocals more accessible than ever. THE POET is an intellectually inspired earworm which tangibly allowed The Slow Day to set themselves apart with distinction. The single emotively alludes to the plaintive misery which lingers in a poetic mind; all things considered, THE POET is a work of intertextual ingenuity.

It’s going to be exciting to see where The Slow Day take their punchy and raucous in perfect measure sound next.
