There are very few up and coming Pop artists who have the ability to create tracks which will hit you with the same weight as you’ll feel from Kiey’s melancholically-mused hits. For his latest single “Piccadilly” Kiey created a heartfelt and resoundingly raw soundscape with lyricism which almost certainly contains a piece of his soul paired with a steady Electro Pop beat.
There’s no getting around the fact that parts of the track were awfully reminiscent of Britney Spears’ One More Time. Regardless, there’s still a lot to be said about how prodigal the rest of the Pop arrangement is. The depth brought by the orchestral strings takes Piccadilly to the next level. Any fans of Empathy Test, New Order, the Knife and M83 are sure to appreciate what Kiey has created.
