Inztrow Beats – Birds of a Feather (VULFPECK remix): Catatonically Powerful Fresh Swiss Chill Hop

I’ll hold my hands up and admit that Inztrow Beats is probably the first ever RnB & Soul artist from Switzerland that I’ve stumbled across, the minute I hit play on his latest track Birds of a Feather I instantly got a taste of what I was missing out on. As the Swiss are normally occupied with their penchant for Electronica music, news of such sweet Urban music doesn’t hit international waters all too often.

The Geneva based artist released his latest track on February 14th, 2018 off his latest mix tape which is a fusion of fresh sounds that create a sublimely tranquil harmony of Funk, Soul, Trap and Lo-Fi Swing Jazz. His dulcet pioneering sound is one that’s all too easy to listen to. What I probably loved most about Birds of a Feather was the old school harmony behind his vocals that are as light as air, and as fresh as they come.

Hawker Roam – The Wanderer: 60’s Psychedelia Mixed with Modern Euphoria

Before I even hit play on this track I knew it was going to sound spectacular, the track title subtly hints that you’re going to be taken on a journey, but what I couldn’t anticipate was just how spectacular that journey was going to be. The track is drenched in Psychedelic nostalgic sound, with a heavy domineering mix of acoustic and reverberated guitars that drop, swirl and dance over this truly transient Indie Blues Post-Progressive track.

The level of harmony achieved by Harker Roam in their debut track hits you as an empyreal dream that allows you to simply get lost in the angelic riffs that allow this track to transcend above the half-baked tracks that are floating around today. The Salt Lake City, Utah based band take their inspiration from bands such as Pink Floyd, Radiohead and Death Cab for Cutie, they promise to deliver a unique sonic experience through their sound, and they do more than deliver in their latest hit. There’s not many vocalists that I would put in the same league as Thom Yorke but Shawn Homer is definitely one of them.

SCAR – I Walk Alone: An Assault of Experimental Blues Rock

Fans of Grandaddy, Yuck, Big Thief & Hidden Charms will adore SCAR’s debut track I Walk Alone. Their experimental riff drenched sound, is definitely not to be missed. SCAR is one of the most influential independent musicians on the scene today, the Italian songwriter, guitarist and vocalists heavy hard rock sound is a stampede of rhythmic fury.

I Walk Alone was originally released in May 2016 but it’s quiescent blues aren’t to be forgotten. Instrumentally the sound is as perfect it comes, which you’d expect from any self-respecting Rock outfit. You can hear the funk riddled bassline echoing against the guitar that pleasantly, sporadically bursts into sonorous solos. The cherry on the cake lies in SCAR’s vocal ability which resonates with a raucous edge, resonant of Rock legends Buck Cherry & Alice Cooper. I Walk Alone is the title track from his debut album which you can download here:

Tod Pronto – Hide Away from the Sun: A Cocktail of Shady Blues infused with American Folk

Hide Away from the Sun is the title track to Tod Pronto’s latest debut album, in which the Folk Singer Songwriter truly brings the genre back to its roots. His resounding sounds flood through his latest release off his debut album; ‘Hide Away (From the Sun) containing his eclectic mix of old school Folk sounds for any audiophile’s delight. If you’re a fan of the contemporary folk enigmas such as Glen Hansard, Jake Bugg & Ray Lamontagne, you’ll want to revel in his sonorously dulcet folk composition Hide Away from the Sun that features the gentle keys of the piano around the iconic acoustic guitar rhythms and melodies. It’s probably the best anti-summer hit that you will hear this year, a fair reminder that everyone loves the sun, Tod Pronto is proud to help you revel in the apathy of sunlight with his Blues Folk rendition of Hide Away from the Sun. There’s that charismatic down and out aura over Tod Pronto, his American Singer-songwriter charm is infectious when infused with the perfect cocktail of Americana, Alt Country and Folk.

ElonTheDon channeled Eva Alordiah with this retro resounding rap song she titled, TRIP.

The encomium is a well-deserved laud that should solely be accorded to this Female emcee that’s got a pack-full of raw talent, a sizzling lyrical gait that’s pretty knitted, and an astounding attitude that’s ensheathed in a perfect coiffeur.

There’s more there is to know about life, if life is truly a bitch and that’s what ElonTheDon’s “TRIP” is focused on.

Well, with range of the pure flow she pulled off in this song, one wouldn’t be mistaken to acknowledge the fact that she’s the real deal when it comes to the mastery of her craft.

This a fuzzy-cozzy kind of rap psych song which was rather rendered in a tempo that somewhat resembles what Lana Del Rey pitched herself, but in the genre of hip hop.

The melancholic beat and the intro of this song will keep you enthralled in its beautiful stratosphere. It even gets better when the “Life’s a bitch” hook hits your ear. ElonTheDon sound so much like a Nigerian female rap emcee Eva Alordiah.

The flow of the song is beautiful and the hook is really catchy as you can easily sing along once it gets to that part of the song. ElontheDon gave us a heavy ripple on this song with her style of sound and cool headed vibe which resonates from the beat of her new single she tittled “TRIP”.

Blacklist 9 – Madness: A Bone-Rattling Behemoth Debut of Angst

Right from the first bar I knew I was in for a treat with Blacklist 9’s latest track Madness. The Southern Californian band didn’t hold back when it came to their new release. In fact, they created one of the best Thrash metal track’s I’ve heard produced this side of 1990. Madness was born out of the bands inspiration to pay an ode to the sound of Early Groove, Thrash and that sweet timeless taste of American Metal.  Blacklist 9 are heavily influenced by bands such as Soulfly, Black Sabbath & Sepultura, yet, they paved their own way with their finely tuned raucous sound that makes this track so viciously bone-rattling.

In short, Madness is a track that would please even the most pretentiously picky metal fans, with their guttural mix of angst and infinite instrumental sound. Throughout the progression of the track I couldn’t help being reminded of The Beastie Boys, and Rage Against the Machine for the rap style verses that flow seamlessly through the mix, yet their extreme aggression transcended any boundaries that were set by their predecessors.

Trophy Hitta Sadge – Releases HipHop Track “Favors”

There’s always a great difference between a creative art of good music that’s still in its fine tune and a pretty pack of some organized noise which we are always being fed on a regular. But really, can anything be compared to a great music like Trophy’s ‘Favor’ that’s well pitched and at the same time posses to a reasonable extent; some relatable messages and nice lines.

Needless to point out that the genre of this song is more of the unalloyed upbeat that’s specially mixed with that kind slow hip-hop/rap vibe which still holds its rightful position in the industry itself, this claim is further proved to be true from the trend in people’s choice of music beat.

The choice of the beat settles it for me, coupled with the well-mastered sound that it ushers in as the tempo slowly shifts from a different range as the music played on. With a smoothly penned lyrics and a perfect voice like this, Trophy Hitta has with ease earned herself a new feather boa in her cap of accolades.

Whenever you happen to stumble on a good music, you don’t really need much resistance before you oblige to the obeisance of your subconscious to appreciate and laud the awesome work and time that the said artist has put to work in shunning out such a great piece like that.

This song is so beautifully produced and mastered and I recommend y’all to check it out.

Still Talk Release Fun And Image Evoking Track “Slow Sunday”

Still Talk is a project based in Cologne with a very particular sound that is an intriguing blend of stylistic elements. The fundamental basis of Still Talk’s music is rooted in the rock sound but as is evident in their recent release “Slow Sunday” the music also features a more commercial aspect and a particularly indie sound. “Slow Sunday” itself, as the name suggests is all about the little things that happen on a Sunday and how the lead singer Tanja Kührer relates them to emotions and thoughts. Apart from being image evoking, the lyrics, music and vocal delivery also create a gentle atmosphere which is not often associated with the rock sound.

Starting off with a soft blend of guitar sonorities along with a steady, and very present, drum groove, the song expresses a very particular character which, as the vocals come in, feels somewhat dreamlike. The vocal tone floats over the rest of the instrumentation and this addseven more depth and dimension to the overall sound. It is also very interesting to note that as the lyrics unfold, the music together with the still actions in the music video start to portray those slow Sunday mornings more and more realistically. Overall Still Talk definitely show that they are able to portray an artistic vision very effectively, both through sound and video! Check it out now!

SAR Releases Fresh Track “Gully Girl”

SAR is a young British rapper with a sound that is fresh and enjoyable to listen to with an underlying cool attitude. In his latest release “Gully Girl” he delivers a song that features a great balance between rap verses and slightly more melodic choruses while also keeping a steady flow, clear pronunciation and a solid beat. Furthermore, the music video that accompanies the song goes really well with the music and lyrics while also displaying a soft feminine sensuality that portrays the imagery of “Gully Girl” sensibly.

Starting off the song is the gradual development of instrumentation into the main beat which results in a punchy groove that carries you along while also enhancing the effectivity of the lyric rhythm. As the pre-chorus and chorus unfold it is interesting to hear some melodic aspects emerging and this makes the song even more memorable and well crafted. The vocal delivery remains steady and on point throughout, without becoming monotonous or unintelligible, and the rhythmic variations between the verses and choruses adds more dimension and character to the song as well. Throughout the whole three minutes SAR shows that he’s definitely on the right track, creating material that is enjoyable to listen to and fresh! Check it out !

Handmade, Amigo Proves It’s Better to DIY

There aren’t many tracks that can get me to proclaim feelings of love before the chorus even begins. But Handmade Amigo’s second debut single “Let it Roll, Or the Whale” hit the spot like no other musical collective have before. The Psychedelic Soft Indie Rock & Roll Jam is a carnality of uplifting pleasures that reminded me of the sweet melodies of bands such as Dinosaur Jr.

They teased the introduction with a lullaby of sonorous sound before crashing into the verse with a raucous ensemble of percussion headed by a bass soaked atmospheric beat. Attempting to deconstruct this track is ion impossible. The complexities and melodies fuse themselves so tightly together, it’s just best to sit back, relax and enjoy the cacophony on offer from The Orlando, Florida based quartet.

The Handmade Amigo’s switch from rattling guitar riffs with an adequate pinch of moody reverberations straight through to piano sweeps to reincarnate the song through every second of the 04:26 duration.

Judging by the innocently charming music video, they’ve got a long way to come in the industry, but I’m most definitely sold on what they have to offer.
