“Hollow” is just one of the playfully expressive latest singles from up and coming Indie Pop artist Took’s latest album “Captain Says”. The flawlessly melodic single incorporates elements of Trap to put an urban twist on the ethereally sweet soundscape. There may be plenty of artists putting out similar sounds right now, but Took’s prodigal approach combined with the radio-ready production of his single sets him miles apart.
With the multi-layered beats behind Hollow, there’s plenty of harmony to stick your teeth into, when paired with Took’s ethereally raw and distinctive vocal style it’s hard not to fall under the aural allure of his stand out single Hollow. Whilst you never quite expect a song titled “Hollow” to be upbeat, it would seem that that’s only one of the ways the single will surprise you.
