Up and coming Hip Hop Rap artist Tilly’s latest single “Shit Hype” is pretty much as unapologetic as you can expect a soundscape from the genre to get.
Shit Hype was a single never created to offer listenability and resonance, instead, Tilly made no bones about creating a single which served up full frontal aural antagonism. It’s the ultimate ‘I don’t give a fuck’ attitude which makes this track what it is. And what it is, is pure infectious ingenuity. Judging by the caustic tonality of the Trap beats and Tilly’s eagerness to utilise the vocal reverb, Shit Hype wasn’t made to entertain, it was made to disturb. Many Trap artists may want to reconsider falling themselves Fresh after hearing how Tilly has stretched the boundaries of the genre.
