T.C. Young – Gravity: Discord for The Soul

Indie Singer Song Writer T.C. Young has just released his latest album ‘Rebels.’ This 7 track album is a conglobulation of poignantly fierce yet beautiful sounds from the instrumental cacophonies he creates through his sound. Each song is packed with its own brand of discord.

This Acoustic Indie Rap singer song writer has got his music production down to a fine art. He’s using his privilege to good use as the son of a diplomat based in Washington DC. Through his cultural enrichment he’s metamorphized his experience to create transient sound through the exploitation of chaos and crisp, clear veracious guitar riffs combined with truly unique vocal styling. There aren’t many in the business that would be able to hit the highs that T.C Young does.

The lyrics to Gravity, the stand out track on his new album allude to his meditations on love, loss and apathy. There’s a beautiful humility and humbleness to his raw indie-rock sound that’s simply a pleasure to behold. His charisma is infectious he combines his twee energy and enviable excitability to create his musical roots to create a truly intimate sound.

Kate Russell Releases Awesome Dance-floor Tune “DYNAMITE”

Hey hold up, where are y’all dancing shoes at? Do I just hear someone say nay? Go get it and grab you a partner now and make your way to the dancing floor. Yeah, it’s just about the time you’re told to brace up for one hell of a downtown country spooky rocket ride with Kate Russell on this awesome track DYNAMITE.

Wow, I’m thrilled to even say the least. This song is just an embodiment of hope and groove. Who wouldn’t wanna shake off some work stress and those intricate depressing thoughts on a mid-day like?

This song is well mixed and laid out so well that it throws open that party and happy mood in the atmosphere without any hassle.
Come yeh all you country music lovers, it is time to celebrate and shake move your body but be warned; just like a dynamite, this song will definitely blow you off your feet the moment it hits your lobes of your ear.

A very well composed and electrifying song from Kate, she obviously doesn’t wanna waste no time to put us in that “save me this one last dance” moment. When I say dance I don’t mean waltz or ballad but rather an ultraviolent eccentric dance where all hands and feet are left suspended in the air for a long while.

The percussion and the strings of the electric guitar that steady reverberated further coated the crescent smoothness and gives more flavour to the song.

If you’re not cut out for all those radical and spontaneous dance moves then this song will probably wrench all those rules away and get you intoxicated with its vibe.

You Don’t Have To Be Beautifully Mad To Work Here, But It Helps

Silhouette by Beautifully Mad

The best music connects with you at a subconscious level. You can analyses, deconstruct and debate the merits of it till the cows come home but real genius is already talking to you on an altogether more subtle level. In fact not just talking, the best music will have knocked on the door of your subconscious holding a bunch of flowers, wined and dined it and will be curled up on the sofa with it before your conscious half has even managed to get out of bed.

And so it is with Silhouette, the titular offering from Beautifully Mad’s latest album and the real genius is that you have been listening to this band all of your life, you just may not have realised it. You have heard them in the lyricism of Leonard Cohen, the drunken grooves of Tom Waits, the sass of a whole range of blues divas and the virtuosity of blues informed rock guitarists. It is timeless and inevitable but still brilliantly original and totally necessary.

Kaeson Rempel – But That’s Alright -The Charismatic Singer-Songwriter Set Out To Create A Song That Feels Upbeat, Yet Emotional And Direct.

Keason Rempel is a singer and songwriter with a passionate approach and a direct style, which highlight his passion and truthfulness as an artist. Keason recently released another brand new track, a composition by the name of “But that’s alright”. The title might reveal a personal and understated theme, and the music follows suit with an intimate melody that matches the introspective vibes of the lyrics. T

The song does indeed start as a mellow, moody and introspective track, but it evolves and becomes richer in terms of arrangement and melodic content. A beat drops in, adding a nice modern punch to the song, while the melodies are enhanced by what sounds like a nice ukulele, strumming along with the guitar. This instrument certainly adds a brighter, uplifting and happier tone to the song, making for a nice twist. The song’s cheerfulness perfectly matches its positive message to the audience: Keason wants to encourage people to look at the bright side: even when it seems like there is no way out, there is always a way!

Hat’s Off To Common Jack

In this age where “singer-songwriter” seems to have become a genre, a certain image appears in my mind when I read those words. A young man working on his first beard, in a wide brimmed hat and black, skinny jeans with designer rips on the knees. These days it seems as if you could blindly throw a stone and not fail to hit some over-entitled, gap-year troubadour treating us to his accumulated life experience since leaving home six months previous. Common Jack does indeed have a hat but thankfully that is where the similarity ends.

It comes as no surprise that John Gardner, the man behind the pseudonym spent two and a half years as part of the touring version of the film Once, as Glen Hansard’s wonderful music seems to be a reference point, as does the dynamism of Damien Rice and the confident drive of David Gray. But they are merely reference points and Common Jack create a wonderfully original sound and Restless is a fine example of a song that starts in folk territory and ends up in anthemic, sing-a-long acoustic rock. Throw in some sweeping violins and a stomping back beat and it is like Mumford and The Whale never existed. If only!

Brooksy’s New Track ‘Just Written’ Will Make You Wish You Were Smitten

Brooksy is a UK based acoustic singer song writer; orchestrating an innocent sound for all of the modern romantics out there. The artists flits between London and Manchester, he’s certainly got the classically dulcet Manchester twang to his voice. It’s a sound that’s been infectious since the 80’s, and acts like Brooksy prove that Manchester Music won’t be laid to rest quite yet with his angelic sound revival.

Following the same beat as Pulp’s iconic hit Year 2000, it’s instantly catchy as you embrace the infusion of the iconic Manchester sound. To say that Brooksy has a unique voice would be quite an understatement, his wonderfully raw voice has the ‘boy next door’ quality that is all too easy to become infatuated with. There’s no excessive polishing of the track, the finished product sounds like a humbly blissful love song that every girl craves to hear. His voice is wonderfully raw that most would find adorable, yet some may believe to be a little awkward. I’m glad that Brooksy didn’t churn out yet another hit for the masses to indulge, that’s what makes the experience of listening to his music that little bit more enjoyable.

As a Manchester girl myself, it’s hard not to be a little biased, however he harnesses everything that bands such as Oasis, Joy Division, and The Smiths have achieved. His acoustic sound, with a wonderfully light piano arrangement to uplifts the guitar in empyreal sound to create a colossally adorable track.

DEA Releases Hypnotic Track “You”

DEA is a young singer songwriter with a very particular sound. With inspirations of R&B and Neo Soul in combination with descriptive thought-out lyrics and some hints of electronic sounds in the arrangement, “You” is a new track which can be potentially hypnotic to whoever listens to it. With natural sporadic guitar phrases that contour the structure, as well as a contrasting deep underlying pulse, this song features a delicate balance of high and low sonorities. It is also interesting to note how subtle the use of the trap style rhythm is. Used carefully to accentuate specific sections and sounding almost in the background, this gives the song indeed a hauntingly hypnotic quality.

Apart from an interesting instrumental arrangement this song definitely has more to offer. DEA’s vocal shines bright above the instrumentation and delivers vocal tone variations and fluctuations throughout the song, showcasing her R&B influences particularly in the chorus. With luscious harmonies and shapely melodies that glide between a variety of pitches and colours, this new voice has a lot to offer and the song “You” is definitely proving all this to be true.

TyC Is Back With Exciting Release “Look What You Made Me Do”

TyC is back with another exciting single and if All 2 Myself was a glorious slice of electro-rock, here we see him turn his sights onto more pop and R&B territory. Securing the services of Joselyn Rivera says something about the rising profile of this songwriter/producer and her sassy and modern vocals add  wonderfully fresh and “of the moment” dimensions to the song.

There is an intriguing staccato structure to the song, it trips and hops, bounces and bowls along but often does so in wonderfully strange time patterns yet never looses sight of its inherent groove whilst doing so.

And it is this combination of the conventional and the cutting edge that is really putting TyC on the musical map. Pop may come from a fairly obvious place, R&B is often predictable and electronic music is very often too “out there,” too left field in its quest to find a new sound. TyC has that rare ability to put them all in one place and find a beguiling, not to mention commercially viable, middle way. Neat!

Dani Miché Proves Romance Isn’t Dead

If you love London Grammar; you’re going to want to check out Dani Miché’s new track off her brand new single Hold Your Head Up. Or #HYHU, for the Twitter happy.

Now I’ll be honest. When I first hit play on this track, the first impression I had was that I was going to be subjected to 4 and a half minutes of melancholic caterwauling. How wrong I was. The rest of the track is pure perfection. Every beat of the track is exactly where it needs to be to pull at your heart strings.

Dani is not your average British singer song writer, she boasts the rare talent of having true connections with love and passion to infuse into her music. If you’re a bit of a romantic, you’re bound to love her unique style.

The lyrics are skilfully haunting, and are intended to serve as an anthem for the hurting. It’s a song of pure uplifting empowerment, the solo artist proves that she’s not one for half-hearted tainted love songs as she captures the shattering experience of heart break. The powerful arrangement and harmony build ups throughout the track aren’t a force to be reckoned with. Through it’s cacophony of pulsation it’s a poignant reminder that your journey is far from over. It is the artists full intention to beguile listeners of her music by enticing them with melody and heavy and immersive instrumentation.

I, Alone Is In Need Of Constant Companion

There’s a subtle but beautiful elegance in the music of I, Alone that will always keep you longing for more.  “Constant Companion,” is a poignant song in which I, Alone guides the listener on an emotional rollercoaster of loving and losing and loving even more. The lyrics coupled with the lead vocals project a convincing tone while painting a picture of pain, heartache, and love all at once. The instrumentation teeters the line of classic rock, there’s beautiful guitar strums throughout the song that tug at the heart strings (pun intended); a strong drum cadence drives the track from solitude to climatic anger, while accent instruments dance softly in the background of this fiery track creating a passionate sound of beauty.

This song is everything but traditional and that alone is what makes it work, there’s a climatic breakdown, with an aggressively amazing electric guitar and some intense vocals which allow the lead vocalist time to strut his vocal prowess, definitely a solid performance piece. The narration is told by more than just words, it’s pure and concise instrumentation with great harmonies, and amazing talent and a song that won’t disappoint.
