When’s the last time you tuned into Alaskan Art Pop? If it’s been a while, or this will be your first experience, there is no better introduction than Strawberry Friend’s latest single “I Was the Problem”. Expect a spacey, wavy, and synthy mix that is absolutely not for the faint of heart. But if you have a penchant for eccentricity in sonic soundscapes, then you’re bound to find plenty of reasons to fall in love with this single.
While it would seem that there is plenty of sobering sentiment in the single given the title, you can expect the lyrics to be fractured amongst the constantly evolving mix of acoustic and electronic effect. Given that I Was the Problem runs for under two minutes, that’s an incredibly impressive feat! But while the lyrics are audible they bring harmony to the layers of Sci-fi chaos. Enjoy elements of 60s Psychedelia amongst contemporary experimental Electronica.
