Take a break from this madness: Wendel urges us to take a different outlook on laid-back debut lyric video ‘These Times’ (ft. Keith Carlock)

Wendel goes against the current worldly riptide and shows us what attitude you really should have right now, on the soulfully real tongue-in-cheek debut single ‘These Times‘ (ft. Keith Carlock).

Wendel is a London-born, Yorkshire-based singer-songwriter and brought in drummer extraordinaire Keith Carlock to lace an extra element that adds so much to this single.

This is a project that was made during the wild year of 2020 and this song matches those events that we will never forget as a human race.

With a laid-back style that is is all about chilling out, having a few cold beverages and encourages a relaxation from this madness with music that has a jazzy-soul feel. His welcome vocals are smooth and inviting to the listener, the sax makes this song so enjoyable and with quality drum sounds combined with that saucy bass adding a layer of goodness, there is so much to like here through this enjoyable ride to finding our minds again.

These Times‘ (ft. Keith Carlock) from the self-aware Wendel is the true story of not being too hard on yourself right now. As long as you are putting the effort in and doing your best, its okay to sit back on your day off and chill out from the constant barrage of bad news and world events. Your mental health is so much more important than stressing out about things you can’t control.

With a mellow style of lyrics that puts a smile on your face, this is exactly the type of music that will free your mind and help you breathe again.

”Springbreakers” is a tale of misspent youth from Marshall Stannus

https://soundcloud.com/marshall-stannus/s-p-r-i-n-g-b-r-e-a-k-e-r-s/s-t3wHNAaPNay

Getting caught up in the party scene and seeing it right in your face is a fun time with life-altering memories, all the good times seem to last forever and caring about too much seems pointless in the moment. When you finally face the facts however, reality smacks your mind harshly and hits you solid in the face like a Mike Tyson knockout punch.

Marshall Stannus shows passion in his lyrical delivery and youthfully crafts a memorable new track called ”Springbreakers” that will relate to many out there who have taken it a bit too far.

I love the beat in this song, it teases you in the beginning and has the rough vinyl cut, before launching into melody with the voice and rhymes of a future star who is now ready for his big moment to shine.

The Melbourne, Australia native Marshall Stannus raps through a vivid lens that has captured the picture of youth perfectly but painfully. ”Springbreakers” is such an underrated track that takes you on a reflective journey of wild parties that never seem to end. When they do however, the crash and the emotional funk afterwards is very real.

Calumet serve a generous amount of soul with their Southern Blues single “Break Down on Me”

“Break Down on Me” is the latest single from up and coming Funk powerhouse Calumet, for this track, they’ve dialled down the Funk and allowed Soul and Blues to take its place, and we’re certainly not disappointed.

In a nutshell, Break Down on Me is a pure offering of catharsis. The infusion of warm vintage tonality makes Calumet’s latest single accessible right from the first verse as the shimmering ethereal nature reveals its arrestive potential. As you can probably guess from the title name, Calumet didn’t leave lyrical evocative appeal out of the mix. So, if you can draw your attention away from the mesmeric layers of Blues and Southern Soul, you’ll get to appreciate the honeyed candidness of Break Down on Me which alludes to how hard it can be to watch someone you love fall apart.

You can check out Calumet’s latest single Break Down on Me for yourselves by heading over to their official website where you will also be able to buy their album.

Flocci – LIMIT BREAK: A Filthy Aural Attack of EDM That’s All About the Bass

Slapping a genre label on up and coming Houston, US-based artist Flocci’s latest single LIMIT BREAK would be completely redundant. To create the filthy aural masterpiece, he incorporated a smorgasbord of bass-heavy EDM styles with an urban edge to create a soundscape that probably won’t be for you if you don’t appreciate harsh high octane beats. But if you love nothing more than hearing dubbed drops weaved into a fast-paced Hardstyle track full of ominous undertones, it won’t be long until you turn to Flocci by default when you’re looking for an attack of harsh snaring electronica. LIMIT BREAK mainly runs through as an instrumental track, yet there are still some Rap-style vocal offerings, and an infinitely endearing addition of a Mario Kart sample.
