Many Hip Hop artists claim to be experimental, however unless they can match the prodigal flare which is perceptible in up and coming Alt Hip Hop artist OAK’s latest single, they may want to think twice about their branding.
With “HOO HAA” from the very first verse you know that you’re not going to hear everything the single has to offer until the very last note.
Combining elements of EDM Pop, Rock, Hip Hop and Rap have been done before. Yet OAK managed to match the same pioneering levels of the likes of Mike Patton’s side projects. There’s plenty of charisma found within the playful vocal delivery which proves that OAK really doesn’t have to take his music seriously to create seriously stylistic beats. How refreshing does that sound?
