There are only a few artists who can get away with a vocal style which borders on spoken word. There are even fewer in the Hip Hop genre, but with his latest drop “Bow 6” Mahogan proved to be one of those artists with his deep and reverberant vocals. The bass of the mix could hardly contend with the depth of the vocals. Mahogan may just be the Nick Cave of the Hip Hop genre.
But one thing’s for sure, Mahogan’s latest single has a far darker and moodier resonance than what you can expect from your average breaking artist. Along with the obvious vocal talent, if you can draw your attention away, the intricately ominous beats bring a new sense of rhythm to the genre.
