“Fading Slowly” is the latest single from up and coming Canadian Rock artist LACKLUSTRE. The single carries plenty of vocal reminiscences to artists such as the Cranberries, and no, that’s not a comparison which I make lightly. The vocals really are that arrestive – especially on the long unfaltering stretches of the high notes which drive raw energy of this track home.
You can be sure that the 90s sound has been weaved into the instrumental arrangement too. The guitar chords may remain fairly simplistic throughout the verses, but they’re still extremely efficacious when it comes to immersing you in a captivating revival of one of the defining eras of Rock n’ Roll. And you can definitely expect a sonic riff or two as Fading Slowly progresses.
