Franklins Fox – Shame: Emotively Volatile Alt Rock

Shame is the debut single from the Hampshire, UK powerhouse trio Franklins Fox. Their high-octane Alt Rock sound will make sure they’re not swimming against the tide when it comes to rising up from the underground.

Franklins Fox vocalist Calum Newbiggin has an innocent, quintessential aura which in parts loses all restraint, the end result is an emotively volatile anthem, which, thanks to the progressive instrumental sections, you can quite easily get lost within. Midway through, you’re treated to a seamless progression of the electric guitar, you anticipate a cataclysmic breakdown, yet you’re treated once more to concordantly sonorous vocals. With Shame, the up and coming band strived to create an authentic sound, I’m willing to go right ahead and say they nailed it. There are very few Alt Rock artists out there to date with the same magnetised power of captivation.
