The depth in Djo Life’s latest track Anytime, Every Time is a little bit surreal. In my not so humble opinion there’s a distinct lack of music on the radio waves as organic and ethereally strong as Djo Life’s soundscapes. The Lo Fi production quality of the track adds a wash of reverberation over the otherwise jangly, sublime, glowing Indie Acoustic Rock track to provide a sensation of pure bliss.
The arrangement of the lyrics around Djo Life’s instrumentals is almost Richey Edwards genius. They’re fractured, they’re chaotically sweet and they offer almost a stream of pure conscious from the artist which allows Anytime, Every Time to truly resonate.
If the up & coming artist continues to make playfully infectious melodies such as those contained within Anytime, Every Time I would say it wouldn’t be long before you hear his prodigally quaint style on the radio. Whilst a lot of acoustic acts go down the nasally whiney route with their vocals Djo Life offers some of the most serendipitously deep Americana blues with his vocals which are an absolute delight to get caught up within.
