The Used Notes’ latest single “Scream Please” hits you with an instant blast of high-octane Indie R&B Pop passion right from the prelude. The single which was released earlier this year in January poignantly addresses the frustrations of living with mental health problems. While at first, it’s hard to appreciate the repetition of “scream please”, once you come to recognise that the Used Notes are using that line to compel the listener to find catharsis in expression you can start to feel the full power behind the single.
Scream Please is an unapologetically raw single which drips soul and passion through both the unflinching vocals and the Jazz infused R&B organic rhythms which have been pulled together with a stylistic Pop polish.
