No, “Oh My God” wasn’t my reaction to the latest single released by The Habit, it’s the title of their latest raucously sonic Rock single; but it may as well have been. After all, there’s no better time for blasphemy than when you’re fronted with an up and coming Alt Rock act who manage to blow you away with their completely organic sound. The up and coming artist’s anthemic edge is nothing short of anthemic, there aren’t many bands who can create such a loud, yet simultaneously clean sound. Yet, the Habit has made it sound all too easy with their viscerally smooth instrumental progressions and quite frankly sexy vocal offerings paired with some of the most relentlessly soaring riffs you’ve heard in a long time. If you were under any impression that guitar music is dead, you might want to check out Oh My God first.
