NIGHT RIDE Release New Single LAY YOU DOWN

Trailed by a captivating overall musical performance which was further adorned with a catchy electro-pop sound that leaves one twirling and swirling to its gracious vibe, Night Ride really proved that they are still belligerent, camera-ready and more focused to reach the zenith of their music career in their sojourn thus far. This duo is the next best thing to happen to the Electro-pop music industry.

No, this is not like the usual drudge we do take in with a hard pinch of salt, It only takes 3 seconds out 4 minutes total play time of this amazing song for you to be entrapped and unfurled into a forever porch light of beautiful reverie.

So out goes the pop-electro-rock hybrid; which in its place sits a broad EDM party mix that initially manifested itself as One Republic pastiche on a subtle tale of unrequited love and emotional trauma. It’s exactly when the beam of awesomely pitched melody and amazing sexy vocals entwines with the synth-pop vibe of this song that its power of transfixion sets in.

The accentuate music group; Night Ride, is an electronic pop duo embracing synth-pop and rock, and fusing it with theatre, fashion, technology and art which creates a comfort zone that feels genuine.

Night Ride band draws their inspiration on this song from the tale of their sexual experience and couple of situation-ships which isn’t really what you would likely notice at the first listen since the vibe would rather make you pay less attention to the lyrics of the song. This also further backed up the reason why their music influencers happen to be the likes The Weeknd, CHVRCHES, Grimes, GusGus, and Paramore.

As the first track to be released from their forthcoming E.P. ‘Neon Dreams’, Lay You Down gives a good insight of what to expect from the up and coming duo and I simply hope they’d surpass my imagination just like they did in this song when I eventually get my hands on their EP album when it’s released.

A north star in a psychedelic milky way is the overriding theme of Night Ride’s “Lay You Down”. Everything was more than I expected. Simply put, It was nothing short of class and quality.

Listen To “Bloodline” By S.O.S – A Strong And Cool Electro-Pop Masterpiece

S.O.S is the creation of Anglo-Maltese singer, songwriter and producer Sophie Debattista, who is working hard and making lasting impressions in the music industry with her quirky electro-pop sound. Upon first listening to “Bloodline” it is evident that this song is very well crafted with strong songwriting skills and performed with conviction and a solid artistic vision. As the chorus unfolds it is clear that this song is a hit and an evident reflection of S.O.S’ ability to mould a unique sound.

Amongst the several factors which make this song great is primarily the melodic aspect which features angular embellishments on syllables as well as smooth underlying vocal carpet which creates contrast and further interest. Apart from this, the electro-pop instrumental arrangement also complements the angular melodic embellishments with sweeping sounds, crisp beats and a well developed texture which leaves space for the vocals to shine above everything else. With intelligently crafted lyrics focusing on our humanity’s ability to work together as one bloodline, this song not only presents a great message but also showcases great musicality and songwriting skills, definitely making S.O.S an artist to look out for.

Jamie Benkert Talks Wasted Love

There are two types of maverick artists: the ones who adopt different styles as a way of switching costumes, and the ones who take a variety of musical concepts and subvert them wholly to their own ideas, and their own identities. Jamie Benkert is clearly the latter. Her new single aptly entitled, “Wasted Love,” is a musical conglomerate of creativity, passion, and breathtakingly beautiful interpretations of musical sensation.

The song couldn’t have a better title.  The instrumentation employs a wide range of orchestrated sounds, dancing from subtle pop influenced patterns, to symphony infused arrangements, back to whimsical guitars yielding harmonious moments of both beauty and tension. The score is erupting with musical genius. Jamie’s voice dances all over this rhythmic beauty, her voice is boisterous, light hearted, and fun. I love the musical breaks, and the fun lyrics, I could easily hear this song blaring out of the speakers of a college dorm, suburban home, or just a teeny bopping teenage who knows good music. Solid track.

Urban RnB Artist John Casper Releases Debut EP Smoking Blues

John Casper is a driven, passionate and charismatic artist with a unique approach to his music. His songs are melodic and catchy, yet energetic and uplifting, echoing the work of artists such as Drake, The Weeknd or Frank Ocean, just to mention but a few.

On his recent release, “Smoking Blues”, John mastered the fine art of writing songs that are deeply personal, yet easy to relate to. Smoking Blues is a particularly interesting release for its unique sonic signature, which remind me of the old school glory days of this genre, while looking at it from a more modern perspective.

I really love it when artists are able to re-contextualize music, exploring new ideas and combining their creativity with timeless structure, paying homage to their influences, while creating something completely original. To me, John Casper sounds like an artist who truly know where he is going, but who never lost track of where he actually comes from, in terms of sound and influences.

The artist managed to wrap up 5 exciting tunes that showcase a very open mind and an eclectic attitude, embracing influences from different genres, including pop, trap, neo-soul and R&B.

Micah Metje releases high energy track ‘Breakaway’

Micah Metje is a singer and songwriter whose music has a very multi-dimensional attitude. On one hand, his vocals are as appealing as the work of he best pop stars, but on the other hand, his music also has some rock energy and electro oomph that really adds something special to the mix. His studio single, Breakaway, has got an explosive concoction of EDM beats, chunky rhythm guitars and R&B-laced vocal hooks.

The work of this artist reminds me of performers such as Jason DeRulo, Frank Ocean or The Weeknd – there’s a lot of soulfulness in his voice, yet it is also energetic and dynamic, making for a truly unique balance. This song also stands out for its earnest personal lyrics. On Breakaway, Micah sings openly about living, loving and dreaming, while bringing so much energy to his audience.

I love how the chorus really opens up with stunning electric power chords and great rhythm sections. Combining rock and pop is not always as easy as it seems, but this talented young artist certainly got the mix just right.

A&R Factory Present: B00TY

The HOLY video was directed by Sadé Clacken Joseph, who recently was awarded by the White House with the 30 under 30 Emerging Carribean American Leaders Award. The video stars Golden Globe nominee and Satellite Award Winner, Sarah Hay and was choreographed by Polish So You Think You Can Dance star, Ida Nowakowska Herndon. The song and video also feature Rhea Dummet, who tours singing with Pharrel Williams and sang on his hit song ‘Happy’.

The electro-soul-funk band of multi-instrumentalists led by joint frontmen Edan Freiberger and Adam Epelbaum have been sparking up dancefloors at 1am in sold-out clubs around their adopted home of Los Angeles since they found each other at UCLA. Their set-up of falsetto swagger, horns, electric violin, and endless keyboards have made them a must-see band around the local scene of East Hollywood and Downtown LA. B00TY are the ideal visceral hedonistic party hang for anyone who wants to channel themselves back to the original vibe of 1970s primetime Sly And The Family Stone via the modern twist of electropop pioneers like Flume and current soul messiah D’Angelo. As you can tell by the name, which they’ve realised bears certain challenging connotations, B00TY don’t take themselves too seriously. They channel a goofball carefree attitude, shared by their comedic heroes. Having released three singles over 2015 and the start of 2016, this summer begins for B00TY with single ‘Holy’, their biggest and boldest statement to date. ‘Holy’ is a swelling, soaring R&B ballad with an indie flavour. It’s the type of drama-heavy, piano/strings-led soul vibe the likes of Jessie Ware, BANKS, and The Weeknd have breathed new life into.

Edan and Adam both came from prolific artistic backgrounds; Edan via San Francisco’s Bay Area following a childhood perfecting the violin, then learning every other instrument he could get his hands on, and Adam from Miami where he grew up obsessing over films, comedy and screenwriting. Both hold down full-time day jobs, Edan producing music for Hollywood (he’s currently working with Sir Anthony Hopkins on a project), Adam writing scripts with a dream to make the major studios some day. By night, however, they’re joined by childhood friend and drummer Connor Irias (who doubles up as a co-producer), guitarist Nick Setter, bassist/horn player Jesse McGinty and back-up singers Rhea Dummett (sings on Pharrell Williams’ ‘Happy’) and Sadé Clacken Joseph. Via ‘Holy’ the B00TY family seek to further establish themselves on the map as one to watch. The track showcases the mature side to a project that has so far combined B00ty’s musical passions with their constant search for good times, soulful intervention and a relentlessly positive outlook to life on the West Coast. “Improvisation is at the heart of everything we do.”
