Toronto Nu-Metal band Under Stolen Skies release solidarity single called ”Kill Corrupt”

This is a group that is fed up with all the nonsense around us in the world. They rage through the machine style and rock the speakers until they are smoking with anger. This is music that inspires and would make an awesome movie soundtrack. This is the follow up track to ”State Of I’‘ which was reviewed in April by Amelia Vandergast.

Canadian act Under Stolen Skies needed a way to tackle the frustrations towards the corrupt systems that regulates their society and feel that things are way to cruel and unjust right now. A brave stance indeed and one that must be applauded. They are fed up and taking a stand with such a powerful song.

Nu Metal punk rockers Under Stolen Skies sing and rap their way into our sights with a powerful political statement that fits 2020 like a tight glove. ”Kill Corrupt” urges the world to open up their eyes to not be complacent anymore and stop all the wrongs that are happening right now. We live in a crazy world and this smashing track is all about being unified. That is the only way to make this beautiful planet better again.

Jetronator releases dark and strange single Distance

Jetronator has dropped single ‘Distance’ delving into that Hard Rock and Nu Metal sound through this peculiar and dark track.

This piece is fairly mysterious in many ways, starting off with the low-pitch rough vocals, adding in the instrumentation of the piano keys and the tap on the cymbal, as the voice goes into an eerie whisper.

Then entering a more high-pitched melodic tune, as the drum beats pick up their pace creating a more suspenseful beat. Then kicking off into a heavier note, amping up the volume and adding in the manic instrumentation.

Making sure to keep going back and forth with each style that is portrayed throughout, nearing the end the guitar has it’s time to shine, with the incredible shred, that gives of this hardcore sound.

Under Stolen Skies Have Made Their Debut with the Super-Charged Unifying Punk Rock Hit “State of I”

Under Stolen Skies

Punk angst and poetic poignancy sit hand in hand in up and coming Alt Rock artist Under Stolen Skies’ debut single “State of I”.

Any fans of Rage Against the Machine’s high-octane all-consuming energy will definitely appreciate the experimentally absorbing Nu Metal single. And yes, the single comes with the Morello-style improvised intricate guitar breakdowns which will make your synapses feel suitably rearranged.

Reminiscences aside, Under Stolen Skies’ sound could never have been born through mere assimilation. The urgency, the authenticity, and the sheer performative conviction well and truly put them in a league of their own.

The Canadian artist has been firmly affixed to our radar after hearing State of I, you’ll undoubtedly follow suit once you get a taste of just how fresh their sound is.

Dame Tu Alma – Skeleton Key: Monstrously Cinematic Swiss Alt Rock

If you hadn’t noticed, there was no shortage of ominous Halloween releases this year. Up there with the best of them is the Dark Rock single “Skeleton Key” from Swiss artist Dame Tu Alma.

The single may be packed with chilling atmospherics, but the phantasmal air weaves in-between sharp melodic hooks which pull you right into potently energetic choruses. There’s a unique synergy within the soundscape of Skeleton Key which constantly progresses never allowing you to find a moment’s complacency with the aural alchemy you’re ingesting.

It’s not all too often that we come across Alt Rock earworms, but Dame Tu Alma didn’t fail to deliver with their colossal high-octane stylistic offering to the genre.

You’ll hear a smorgasbord of influences within Skeleton Key, from Black Metal to Post Rock to Nu Metal, it’s all fed into the cinematically monstrous hit which stands as a testament to the artist’s authenticity and ingenuity.

Damien – Angry White Boy Music: The Nu Age Of Nu Metal

Norwegian rapper and producer Damien has absolutely bowled me over with his latest track. Angry White Boy Music could only be described as a progression… or a transcendence if you will from the 90’s and 00’s Nu Metal fad, when acts like Limp Bizkit and Skindred defied the genre-boundaries with a brand-new sound. Rap artists such as Damien have perfected the craft with insanely edgy, monstrous rap flows against a hard-contemporary metal beat. But what I find outstanding is the diversity in this outstanding artist’s back catalogue of beats. He goes from your not-so-average Hip Hop Rap artist to mastering one of the darkest Rap mixes that has potentially ever been made. I may sound like I’m fangirling all over the show, but the contrast between the Alternative Rock instrumentals which include some of the sexiest riffs since Rob Zombie picked up his guitar and treated Metal fans to Dragula against his rap flow is absolute macabre poetry in motion. The rhythm, the pace, the angst, it’s all packed in there to create a seamlessly resonant track.
