Encouraging us all to only do what we actually love until our final day on earth, treesreach bring us a song for The Great Resignation that has fueled our creative fires to reach for those goals and to never settle for the dull again on ‘How It Seems‘.

treesreach is a Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based indie alt-rock trio that was formally known to the masses as Live Broadcast.

Mixed by five-time Grammy Award-winning producer Ryan Freeland who has steered them into a new sound that is away from their previous overdub-heavy sonic landscapes, this feels like a smart step in a new world and the results are quite incredibly well received.

From the first deep dive into the sticky-sweet indie magnetism in Seven Layer Piano Cakes’ latest synth-pop single, Remy, we were hooked. If you fused the cool edges of Interpol onto the retro bliss of Grandaddy, the sonic result still wouldn’t be as sweet.

In the infectiously ardent chorus, you’re caught up in a spacey impassioned bop-worthy feat of synth-pop. In the spaces between, you’re arrested by the cuttingly angular indie guitars that blaze around the consistently evolving synths. From playful polyphonic tones to deep grounding notes, the classically trained pianist and harmonically-blessed vocalist plays with them all in the intricate layers of his complex signature sound.

Each new release, Seven Layer Piano Cakes (Justin Hoyt), leaves us even more assured that he is one of the most exciting names to have entered the LA music scene as an independent artist in recent years. His nuanced neo-classic tendencies paired with his ability to make his music as evocative as any of the most revered ‘emo’ artists is a potent combination. With his humbly affectionate charisma, he’s almost the antithesis to every virtuoso that has existed before him. Naturally, we can’t wait to hear what comes next.

LA rocker Abductees feels that tragic pain on visuals for ‘Paris With A Broken Heart’

As he feels like he is floating around in a nightmare after fumbling around the streets as he has just been mentally crushed by someone who he really cared greatly for, Abductees mimes his way all over the city that is so full of romance that it is bound to make a single person sad on ‘Paris With A Broken Heart‘.

Abductees is a Los Angeles, California-based indie rock act that was formed by Ando who has dealt with the loss of former bandmates as he surges on as a solo artist now.

Formally in the business-metal band, Hostile Takeover, Abductees shows us his ravaged soul on an honest video that delves into the sensations of regret and soul-searching after being cruelly left on the sidewalk by your ex.

Tiny Ghosts discovered that it was equal to nothing in the end with the honest release, ‘LoveLove’

Recorded with Jeff Fettig at The Creamery and produced at Strange Weather in Williamsburg with Daniel Schlett, Tiny Ghosts get that racquet strung up and show us into those choices you face when you sense that it’s actually always going to be ‘LoveLove‘.

Tiny Ghosts is a fresh indie-pop duo who are led by Peruvian indigenous singer Dayan Marquina and veteran hardcore-metal songwriter Eric Morgan who fuse together so perfectly just like best friends do.

“Heartbreak sometimes happens in slow motion with a back-and-forth trying to put the other at serve. Thinking over this fruitless, hollow banter gave me the idea to turn to a tennis metaphor — a sport I played growing up in Peru before moving to the States as a teenager.” ~ Dayan from Tiny Ghosts

Easing us into a narrative about a preference that we have to make in life when your lover is not really there mentally, Tiny Ghosts are quite superb on a dreamy single that will grab your attention and never let go. They show us their close bond and they almost telepathically combine to give us a really catchy ear-sizzler that is totally authentic in nature.

‘LoveLove‘ from the indie-pop duo Tiny Ghosts, is a blank, void, lost and forgotten love story that is so relatable to so many out there. It takes two to tango and if one party isn’t feeling it, the double fault is very clear to feel in your whole soul. Blessing us with sensually-classy vocals and an electric attachment to truly immerse ourselves into, this new project is one that we can definitely get used to.
