Deanna DeMola has released her powerful new perception-shifting Alt Pop single “Next Generation”

Pop singer-songwriter Deanna DeMola has just released her most compelling single to date with “Next Generation”. With her latest release, she tells the cynics, the doubters and the bitterly ageing populations just how the next generation is going to run the world.

With absolutely no hint of exaggeration (as a millennial) I can say that I’m infinitely more assured about our future which will soon be in hands of the next generation. The tone and the vibe behind Next Generation are just phenomenal, Deanna DeMola took a strong, levelled and unapologetic approach while also gently asking for understanding instead of seeking more conflict.

If you’re able to tear yourself away from the lyrics, you’ll find a stunning Indie Shoegaze-infused semi-orchestral arrangement behind the flawless notes in Deanna DeMola’s vocals. I honestly couldn’t love this single more, not only is it flawlessly radio-ready, but it also has the power to dilute some of the rage and anxiety which seems all too prevalent in our society.

Olivia Rees – Darker Night: Viscerally Compelling Alt Trap Pop

Pop singer-songwriter Olivia Rees has recently released her phenomenal Alt Pop hit Darker Night. Expect to be hit with full-frontal emotion, viscerally compelling lyrics and hypnotically atmospheric electronic instrumentals.

It’s strikingly meta lines such as “I lost myself when I looked for you” which puts Olivia Rees’ striking style leagues apart from any other up and coming Pop artist in 2020. With a nuanced infusion of Hip Hop in the rhythmically arrestive beats and plenty of bite behind her vocals, Darker Night is as distinctive as it is captivating.

It’s tangibly clear that Olivia Rees never set out to assimilate with this passion-soaked hit. It oozes with authentic creative ingenuity.

UK based singer-songwriter BRAVVN has dropped her new alt pop single What Happens Next

With a video featuring a choreography of bodies dancing in writhing moves within an empty space as if they were pushing away the insecurities of an uncertain love affair, UK based singer-songwriter BRAVVN has dropped her new single What Happens Next.

What Happens Next is a suave interpretation of alternative pop with an anti-mainstream melodic catchiness, falling into the indie-pop category through lo-fi sounds and light-hearted arrangements gently deployed by the use of electronics.

Although musically akin to the likes of major artists such as Dua Lipa, BRANN has developed her own style through not only her music, but also her love of dance, video-making, and outfit design.

You’ll see her all-around talent as soon as you go check out the video for What Happens Next on Youtube.

IVORY BLUE release latest piece Elite Dreamland: A mesmerising Alternative Rock/Pop hit

Kansas City-based singer and songwriter IVORY BLUE has recently released ‘Elite Dreamland’ an incredible piece of music with so much potential.

When you listen to music and you instantly get hooked within the first few seconds, it’s safe to say it’s going to be a hit and that is the truth for this acoustic and melodic track. Embracing the Alternative Rock/Pop style, it’s safe to say that they sure know how to create a song that many will be listening to on repeat.

There is so much talent that shines through in this piece, from the perfectly timed strums on the acoustic guitar and the way the incredible vocals come in and the guitar riffs begin to get a bit quicker as the pace begins to pick up, but what really stands out throughout this whole track is the voice of IVORY BLUE, it’s grips you in so effortlessly.

This piece is one that deserves all the recognition that it gets, for being something that is already a hit in itself. It’s something that’s unique and stands out in it’s own way.

Alecness – Bars Full of Stars: Sticky-Sweet Future Pop

Up and coming artist Alecness’ futuristic approach to Pop music won’t fail to leave you transfixed, especially in their standout single “Bars Full of Stars”.

The soundscape may be a hazy sticky-sweet arrangement, but in perfect contrast to the dreamy concordant instrumentals, you’ll find Alecness’ strikingly bold lyrics which will ensure that you’re as hooked into the lyrical narrative as you are the melodies in Bars Full of Stars.

Once you hear it, there’s little chance of you forgetting the Electronic Indie Pop single which oozes with magnetic kaleidoscopic colourful tones as you’re pulled along by the deftly produced progressions.

There’s a smorgasbord of ingenuity in the mix but you’ll find it all too easy to let Bars Full of Stars consume your consciousness.

Noah Fabray has dropped their latest meltingly amorous urban pop hit “House Bunni”

Noah Fabray appeared on our radar with the unexpectedly compelling track “Insta Hoe” in 2019. And they have left us equally as transfixed by their first release in 2020 “House Bunni”.

With the lucidly smooth feat of RnB Soul Pop, they brought crooning right into the contemporary. There’s a sentence I never thought I’d say. Yet, Noah Fabray’s quintessential charm is insanely potent in House Bunni. It’s sweet, it’s sublime, and if you can allow the track to mellifluously make its way to the outro without falling enamoured with Noah Fabray’s vocals, I’ve got some bad news about your soul.

Much like their previous single Insta Hoe, House Bunni provides a unique narrative on all the things that are a little bit wrong in the world. Yet, with the soulful sticky-sweet air to the single, you can’t bring yourself to entertain the idea of existentialism that the world is a little toxic and capitalistic. If WW3 broke out, I’d want Noah Fabray to be the one to break the news.

Joel Quadri Hits Us with His Vibrantly Sun-Soaked Hit “Valide”

“Valide” is the upcoming new single from one of the most vibrantly talented artists on the underground right now. With his infectious charisma bleeding into his work, it’s hard not to appreciate what Joel Quadri has cooked up with his latest single. The Afro Beats hit keeps the beats and vocal delivery fairly typical to make the sound accessible to any fans of the genre. So while there wasn’t a lot of distinction in the sound, Joel Quadri played plenty of odes to the roots of the genre which will probably never go out of style. While I definitely appreciated the good vibes which were put behind the single, it was hard to feel that the passion behind it truly resonated due to the slightly raw production and slightly excessive use of effects on the vocals. Yet, that’s not to say that Joel Quadri doesn’t have what it takes to create beats packed with plenty of commercial potential.

You’ll be able to check out the official music video to Joel Quadri’s single Valide for yourselves via YouTube.

Union Music Makes Their Debut with “Never Letting Go”

Is there any better way to kick off a Pop career other than with a light, vibrant, smoothly euphoric love song? Probably not. And that’s exactly what Union Music did with the release of their debut single “Never Letting Go”.

The radio-ready hit, packs in plenty of rhythm through the EDM beats which are kept downtempo as they lead up to the chorus where the anthemics behind Never Letting Go really kick in. With lyrics captivating the passion for maintaining a perpetual love, this track is definitely for the more romantically inclined who appreciate that level of optimism in their soundscapes. And although there was a perceptible amount of passion thrown into the single which was incredibly accessible, I’d love to hear a more distinctive sound from Union Music’s future releases.

Tundra – Katla: Bjork Fans, You’re in For A Treat

The label Alternative Pop doesn’t really cut it when it comes down to describing Tundra’s latest single Katla. As soon as I hit play on the new single I was hit by the Bjork vibes, yet, Tundra is infinitely more than any predecessors sound. Her virile approach to her Pop sound isn’t something that you can easily ignore. The kicks and drops that were riddled into electronic beat amplify the momentum under her domineeringly vocals. It’s not often you hear such an overwhelming amount of feeling being projected into the microphone. You can hear it through every non-lexical vocal around the harsh EDM style beat which succinctly progresses throughout the track. I can honestly say I’ve never heard build ups and drops in a Pop track which is even remotely as momentous as what Tundra has created. The drum rolls which draw the track to a close around the vortex of synth insanity is beyond what I would ever hope to hear from a Pop track.

If you’re a fan of Alt Pop artists such as PJ Harvey, Tori Amos & Portishead I guarantee you won’t be disappointing by Tundra’s latest track Kalta which you can stream via SoundCloud.
