Up and coming Hip Hop artist SyKotone dropped their latest progressively fierce track “Been Told” on August 9th, 2019.
The prelude may kick off with slow and pensive keys, but Been Told steadily gains a fair amount of momentum so that by the time you reach the chorus you’re enveloped in a high-octane hit which makes it impossible to tune out from SyKotone’s flawlessly rhythmic Rap delivery.
I’ve listened to enough Rap tracks from up and coming artists to know that it isn’t easy to develop an immediate affinity for a track by an artist you’ve never listened to before. Yet, with Been Told, you may as well be listening to one of your favourite Hip Hop pioneers by the time you reach the final verse. Seem like an over-exaggeration? Press play and prove me wrong.
