If it’s been a while since you’ve been bruised by an emotively arrestive Alt Rock single, up and coming artist Standing Like Statues has released a melancholically compelling single which is sure to resonate.
“Forest” pays an ode to that heart-wrenching feeling of desiring something so desperately that you anthropomorphise yourselves hoping that you can hang on but all you can feel is the fabric of your own reality crumbling. Yes, it really is that deep. While Forest may be lyrically driven, that’s not to say that there isn’t plenty of emotional aural alchemy which spills into the single courtesy of the instrumental arrangements.
Forest will take you right back to your favourite early 00s Emo and Pop Rock singles which offer plenty of sticky-sweet melancholy and massive choruses which act as the perfect offering of catharsis.
