In Paris is the latest single from the up and coming Electro Dancehall artist PLAYTODAY. As you listen to the track unfold, you can’t help but get caught up in the feel-good vibes which flow throughout the progression of the short but sweet mix. Whilst the production quality was raw and lo fi, this only added to the quintessential charm and soul of In Paris.
Whilst the lyricism brought the romanticism, the beats brought the groove and the pure visceral energy which hits you with every kick of the 808’s against the synth driven beat. Summer may be coming to an end, yet, I have a feeling that with his unique style PLAYTODAY is going to stick around for quite some time. Finding the same amount of originality he’s bringing to the table would be like finding a needle in a SoundCloud rapper’s haystack.
