Some may say that effortlessly stylish melodies are the best, and we’d be inclined to agree. We were even more convinced after checking up and coming R&B Hip Hop artist Naeem. For his latest single “Noche Larga” he went with a melodic, wavy, and infinitely mesmerising approach. Yet, unlike most other ambient tracks, there’s a clear level of distinction in the soundscape through the clever use of spatial effect which gives the track a stripped back and raw appeal.
There’s probably no sweeter sound to slip into. The fact that my uni-lingual mind was unable to translate the lyrics to Noche Larga was absolutely no issue for the pure amount of passion Naeem poured into the vocal harmonies.
