If you’re looking for a track which delivers instant catharsis I’d thoroughly recommend checking out Micah Wood’s latest single Fast Track. The Brooklyn based artist’s approach to sound originated through his affinity for a broad spectrum of artists from Joni Mitchell to Justin Timberlake, Frank Ocean to Tracy Chapmen. Through his eccentric tastes an even more pioneeringly unorthodox sound is created. The melody which the Acoustic Soul singer songwriter creates in his blissfully resonant new release Fast Track grips you before the first verse is through. The progression throughout the snares you within the narrative, Micah Woods pitch perfect vocals and the rhythmically rich instrumental sound. By the time you’re midway through the track, you have to wonder how you quite got there as all of a sudden, you’re soaking up soaring Pop Rock guitar riffs which cut through the warmth of the cacophony created by the acoustic affects.
