Matthew Banks – Little Blonde Boy: Accessibly Sweet Roots-Deep Indie Folk

I’m not in the habit of throwing out over exaggerated praise, yet, when it comes to Matthew Banks’ latest single Little Blonde Boy I can honestly say I haven’t heard an acoustic track this soulful since Tracy Chapman’s Fast Car.

The lyrics to the track carry a momentum that you just can’t help getting caught up within thanks to Matthew’s deft ability when it comes to vocal harmonies. Whatever mood you’re in when you get to the chorus I have no doubt that you’ll be uplifted. The Los Angeles based Folk Indie singer songwriter utilises less than typical piano and guitar progressions to orchestrate his accessibly arresting style that any fan of Paul Simon should be keen to devour.

You can check out the tittle track from Matthew Banks’ latest album Little Blonde Boy which was released in May, 2018 on SoundCloud now, and yes, each of the fourteen tracks are as captivating as the title track.
