While not every R&B Pop artist takes their beats seriously, or in fact considers orchestrating a soundscape which will allow them to distinguish themselves apart from the rest; Kai Justine perceptibly isn’t your average artist.
It should come as no surprise that the West London-based singer songwriter also produces her own beats considering that they synergise with her vocal energy and style so closely. The bass-heavy rhythms perfectly match Kai Justine’s domineeringly magnetic vocal delivery which gives you very little choice in tearing your attention away from her latest single “BOOKS”. If any R&B Pop single has the ability to fill a dancefloor it’s BOOKS. Yet, it’s easy to feel that with a little more lyrical depth the single could have been improved slightly.
