Louisville up and coming R&B Hip Hop artist has created another soft and smooth monster of a track with his latest single “Drip (Can’t Take My Sauce)”.
As much as I appreciated Drip, it was easy to feel that the track was a little slow to start, and the inspiration behind the track was fairly hard to decipher. Yet, the gentle downtempo pacing of the track provides a tonality which sits in between Trip Hop and Chill Hop, so, ultimately, you’re left with a cathartic track which is infinitely accessible. There’s also a lot to be said for how Hinype left his vocals clean in Drip, so even though the lyrics may be slightly ambiguous, plenty of emotion feeds through the mix which was put together by producer TeddyFxckitup.
