Emerging artist G.U.I dropped his first ever track Mysticist just as 2017 drew to close, and already Hip-Hop aficionados are lining up to taste G.U.I.’s enigmatic lyrical flow and blinding beats. His harsh approach to sound is definitely not for the faint hearted. If you’re a fan of Busta Rhymes, Public Enemy and Run DMC, you’re going to want to check out this track. Mysticist is a stampede of sound stamping through the soundwaves until you’re as psyched about the music as G.U.I.
His raw, elemental lyrics rage with a tone of impending doom which allows you develop deep respect for the artist whilst also being sent under by the lyrics. Perhaps G.U.I. is a mystic with his ability to produce such a compelling beat for his debut single. Whilst I’m not usually a fan of repetitive music, Mysticist has a unique charm to the sound as it jumps tempo, keeping you pumped throughout the mix that never allows the track to fall stagnant.
