Not surprisingly, Never Again is an admission of remorseful guilt, which I’m sure we can all relate to in one way or another. Whilst the pulsing sound behind the vocals won’t exactly blow you away when it comes to the production and overall resonance of the beat of this Hip Hop track, DEVN still hits the mark with a playlist worthy track.
Right from the intro to Never Again you are lulled into a transcendent state as you listen to the rhythmic apathy unfold around the woozy synths as they unfurl into a thrumming instrumental mix around the remarkably narrative lyrics to the track.
Never Again is the first track the underground Trap Hip Hop artist has put out into the ether, he’s reached out to his fans with a beautifully pacifying sound that you’ll never get sick of listening to. The mellow ensemble with simplistic breakbeats over 80’s synth is the perfect mix of sound to ease even the most soul-destroying bouts of guilt. To describe this single as evocative almost feels like an understatement.
