Before you even hit the chorus in the Stars in the Night, you realise as you listen to the depth of Colman’s passion just how few records truly resonate with the same unfiltered, undiluted soul. You can hide behind all of the digital effects you like, but there’s no amount of production which can infuse that raw essence and energy into a single just as Colman has done naturally with the Stars in the Night.
The strength of Colman’s vocals matches the conviction found in the delivery of the lyrics. And of course, no review of the Stars in the Night would be complete without paying ode to the seamless guitar progressions and maturely stylistic riffs which lead the way right through this mix.
