Choly – Arcade Love: An Experimentally Vibrant Electro Genre Mash

Any fans of Joy Division, the Cure, Depeche Mode, Bauhaus and Interpol are sure to love the slightly ominous, infinitely ethereal gothy Post Punk tones of Choly’s latest single “Arcade Love”. The Post Punk vibes are wrapped around layers of Electro Pop and Indie to create one of the most prodigally haunted singles I’ve encountered this year. Although the single starts off as being fairly moody, by the time you get to the outro, you’d be forgiven for thinking that you’re in a completely different soundscape. And that’s just one more reason to become enamoured by the UK-based singer songwriter’s majestic approach to production. His ability to seamlessly blend Indie Jangle Pop guitars around the fuzzy layers of synth is nothing other than aural alchemy.
