Lost Aliens – Unified Stream: Prodigally Intergalactic Riff-Infused Electronica

While I was anticipating hearing a slightly Sci-Fi soundscape from Lost Alien’s latest single “Unified Stream”, nothing quite prepared me for the transcendental mesmerism which their latest single contained.

The psychedelically ambient electronic mix combines elements of rock and trance allowing the acoustic instruments to add the wavy texture to the sound around the sonic blasts of the synth around the other intergalactically-inspired electronic effects.

There’s no denying that what Lost Aliens have created with Unified Stream is nothing short of prodigal. The tight arrangement combined with the ease of the melody and levels of harmony brought by the vocals was nothing short of aural catharsis, and I’m fairly certain that’s what they were going for with the single which dropped on January 11th.

Myles Jaeger – Fools: Pioneering Fresh Electronica

The prodigal son of experimental electronica Myles Jaeger dropped his latest single “Fools” at the end of 2018, and in the process of doing so he has charmed an international audience with his sporadically visceral, unpredictable mix.

The track kicks off as you’d expect your average ambient lo fi Hip Hop single to unravel, but when it comes to the bridge the drop will definitely take you down with it. There’s plenty of progression packed into the single, as after the build-up Fools takes a more anthemic EDM turn with plenty of harsh and crisp smacks of reverb-drenched electronica.

When it comes to the vocals, it is not only Myles Jaeger’s vocal talent you will want to applaud, it is also the ingenious use of effects which made the vocals as much of an intrinsic part of the track as the 808’s.

Harmonical’s Aural Answer to Social Media Dread “Communication Nation”

I have no doubt that the sentiment behind Harmonical’s (remix) single “Communication Nation” will resonate with many people. Everyone has felt that horrendous sense of dread build as you are scrolling through your social media feeds as you see just how much hate and hypocrisy is in the world, but now, we have the perfect soundtrack to pair with our disdain.

As proven by Harmonical’s earlier 2018 releases the up and coming artist possesses a palpable talent when it comes to composing solidly structured Pop singles through rhythmic EDM melodies which carry a slightly nostalgic feel. And with such accessibly resonant vocals the sentiment behind Communication Nation hits that little bit harder.

Paul Alty Drops His Latest Electronica Album “Behind the Clock 2 – Somewhere Between the Earth and the Stars”

Paul Alty’s latest album Album “Behind the Clock 2 – Somewhere Between the Earth and the Stars” is a work of raw cinematic mesmerism. Each of the tracks from the album will lead you further down the aural rabbit hole.

There’s something tangibly ominous and Lynchian about the instrumental soundscapes which have been constructed by the Liverpool-based self-proclaimed synth geek. Yet, at the same time you’re also treated to the magnetically sonic energy which has been weaved into the hypnotically transient tracks. Each of the singles run through with an extended length to help you to immerse yourself even deeper into the tracks; if you’re looking for an instant hit of catharsis, look no further.

The atmospheric ingenuity in what has been created is something that you’re going to have to check out for yourselves. You can check out Paul Alty’s latest album for yourselves by heading over to SoundCloud now.

Princey – And This Happens: Experimentally Immersive Lo Fi Hip Hop Electronica

Every now and again you’ll stumble across a new Electronica artist whose sound pushes through the constraints and expectations of the genre as it finds new ways of creating sticky-sweet transiently subtle melodies and new ways to immerse you in raw and reflective soundscapes.

Princey has proven with his single “And This Happens” which is just one of the tracks from his latest project “FIRST LIGHT” that he has the prodigally ambient flair to take his Lo Fi Hip Hop Electronica to the next level. The amount of mesmerism which And This Happens contains stands as a testament to Princey’s talent anyone with a penchant of experimental ambience are sure to find themselves quickly enamoured with his distinctive production style.

Using samples can always be a risky move, but the way in which Princey incorporated them into the structures of his sound was nothing short of genius. For And This Happens he took an iconic speech from one of the most well-known movies of all time and poured effects over the samples to make them fit synergistically with the beat.

Beyond Black’s Latest Transcendentally Sweet Drop is the Perfect Addition to Your Ambient Playlists

It is the ultimate testament of talent for an electronic artist to create a chilled soundscape at the same time as keeping the beat intricately complex, meandering and sharp.

The clear cut of the breakbeats which feed into the multi-layered mix of Beyond Black’s single “Living Sound” from his latest album does exactly that. In the absence of lyrics, the cinematic swells of the sound take care of the immersivity. If you’re looking for deftly mastered immersive beats to add to your playlists, look no further than Beyond Black.

Swaine Delgado – 308: Ambiently Arresting Alternative Electronica

Just how up and coming artist Swaine Delgado managed to infuse so much funk and groove into his ambiently melodic latest single “308” will forever remain a work of alchemy. It would seem that I’m not the only one to be enamoured by the soundscape, in the short time since the release, there’s already tens of thousands of fans plugging into his experimental electronica. The Perth, Australia-based artists vocal style is just as concordantly resounding as the beat behind 308.

Through his experimental style Swaine cooks up a hypnotic amount of catharsis which progresses through layers of harmony against the muted, soft rattle and kicks of the 808s against the lucidly light synth reverb. 308 is just one of the singles to come off Swaine Delgado’s debut 4-track EP “run boy, run” which will make you wonder where the hell he’s been hiding his deft aural command for so long.

Senhouse – With You: Globally-Inspired EDM with an Indie Twist

“With You is the first single to be released by Nigerian born and NYC-based DJ & Producer Senhouse AKA Danny Ora. For his debut release he teamed up with Indie female vocalist Afr0dite whose vocal prowess could never be called into question. Together they created a contemporary hit with seamless flow and pitch-perfect production. Yet, as much as I loved Senhouse’s latest single, I couldn’t help but feel as though it would have been better as an instrumental mix. That’s not to say that the vocals were terrible in any way shape or form, they just did very little to compliment the fast-paced melodic beat. The beat which kicked off with an immersive, intricate prelude was soon lost to the power of the vocals and the instrumental mix soon took a backseat. Regardless, I still can’t wait to hear what Senhouse drops in the future with the soundscapes which will feature on his upcoming EP, due for release in Spring 2019.

Golden Vessel – “BIGBRIGHT”: A Potent Mix of Lucidly Layered, Intricately Weaved Electronica

Golden Vessel (AKA Max Byrne) is back with his latest single “BIGBRIGHT” and this time he hasn’t come alone. He’s teamed up with three vocalists all renowned for their standout styles in their own arenas to tell four different stories within the lyrics. It’s probably safe to say that there aren’t many lyricists who can pull that off. With Rap bars curtesy of DUCKWRTH; an artist who is already receiving high acclaim from Pitchfork, alongside the sensationally poised vocalists Elkkle and E^AST your treated to a smorgasbord of vocal harmony.

The production and mastering to BIGBRIGHT ensured that the polished product was more than fit for radio, which was probably easier said than done when it came to seamlessly blending elements of Pop, Hip Hop, Rap and Electronica. During the bridges the track almost veered into the Dream Wave arena, yet there was plenty of anthemic momentum spilling from the kicks of the 808’s to ensure that the hype was kept alive around the lucidity.

You can listen to BIGBRIGHT which was released September 26th, 2018 via SoundCloud or watch the official music video by heading over to YouTube

JuWe – Mad Mad World Remix: Bonnie McKee Wasn’t in the House… Until Now

Bonnie McKee’s viral hit Mad Mad World may have had plenty of hype to start with Yet when up and coming producer JuWe got his hands on the Pop hit for one of his remix projects the track learned the definition of euphoria.

When you Compare the two tracks, it becomes evident that the choruses in the original were dampened and more than a little flat which was quickly rectified by the House remix. If it wasn’t a dance floor hit before, then it certainly is now. Just how the Cologne, Germany-based producer managed to allow the vocal highs to resonate with infinitely more power will forever remain an act of aural alchemy.

You can check out the remix of Mad Mad World which was released on September 27th for yourselves by heading over to SoundCloud now.
