If you’ve ever wondered what 808’s sound like against Indie spoken word vocals and a fiddle, then you’re in for an absolute treat. In fact, I’d be hard pressed to find a more rhythmic Folk track. There’s a constant momentum provided by the electronic effect whilst the acoustic arrangements provide an array of warm tonality which makes Benji Katz’s style so instantly accessible. A lot of people may have lost the ability to really tell a story with their songs, yet Benji Katz’s narratively poignant lyrics are full of powerful imagery and honest humble revelations. Stunted comes together as a faultless accessibly cathartic melodic anthem which will have you enamoured before the first verse runs through.
