The first thing that hits you with Arian’s latest single “Bladerunning” is the pure, undiluted angst that has been poured into the Hip Hop Rap mix. The second is the absolute ingenuity of the lyrics which allow Arian to say exactly what he needs to while keeping in perfect meter and time. If that’s not a sign you’ve just stumbled across an inexplicably talented Rap artist, then I’m not quite sure what is.
As Hip Hop goes, Bladerunning is a fairly experimental mix, after an aural attack of relentless versing, you’re treated to a Jazzy, Persian instrumental breakdown. While the beats provided a lucidly smooth platform for Arian’s Rap bars, hearing the instrumental mix independently is one sweet hit of catharsis.
