“When I Try” is the second single from up and coming Hip Hop artist Young Dalliance who keeps his tracks smooth, raw, lyrically rhythmic, and ultimately flawless.
Catharsis isn’t offered by Hip Hop all too regularly, but the infusion of Jazz into the downtempo single along with elements of R&B, When I Try becomes so incredibly easy to listen to.
The instrumentals simply ooze warmth and immersive texture while creating the perfect platform for Young Dalliance’s evenly tempered vocals. Rap artists regularly verse about succeeding, but When I Try is an incredibly humbling, authentically atmospheric aural experience which you won’t forget in a hurry. If there were more artists like Young Dalliance who aren’t afraid to show their humanity in their tracks, the airwaves would be a much better place.
