They say you should never judge a book by its cover, but I had an inkling that I would become enamoured by an artist going by the title of The Pits Planet Earth. Their latest single release “Subhuman” only took the first verse to affirm that I was correct in my assumption. The intelligent ingenuity of the lyrics hit me at the same time as the constantly evolving soundscape which left me constantly guessing where next seamless switch up would leave soundtrack.
With the dual vocals mixing Stevie Nicks style sensuous female vocals with hyped male Pop Rap bars, it’s safe to say my attention never waned as I listened to the futuristic synth lines feed into the hype of this feel good mix which had the faintest hint of existentialism wrapped into the lyrics.
