Even from the first verse of the up and coming Rock band’s standout single “Intertwined” from their debut self-titled album it becomes immediately obvious just how they came up with the name ‘the Alchemy’.
With Intertwined the East Sussex, UK based 4-piece powerhouse created a potently powerful sound which carries a certain amount of reminiscence to bands such as Incubus with the plaintive lyrics resting over the melodic Rock track. Yet, the layers of electronic effect give the Alchemy’s sound a slight pop feel. Perhaps the most notable element in Intertwined was the fact that even though the emotive Rock single got the Pop style production, the raw and authentic Indie feel to the sound was never lost.
