You

Lynden. accentuated the sweetness in his bitter-sweet indie symphony, You

Jumping off raw emotion as a precipice, the Manchester-based Indie singer-songwriter, Lynden. delved deep when orchestrating and writing his love song, You.

His husky-with-melancholy vocal harmonies make his porously impassioned lyrical proclamations even sweeter to fall into as they ring as assuredly as the gentle acoustic guitar chords against the angular guitar fretwork.

The Cigarettes After Sex inspiration is easily legible within the euphonic atmosphere, but Lynden. stopped at wearing the inspiration on his sleeve instead of assimilating the whole outfit in his quintessentially authentic hit that you’ll need to prise from my playlists from my cold, dead hands.

With John Davis (Blur, Jamie T, The Kooks, Inhaler) in charge of mastering, there was little chance of You falling flat. I always keep my ear to the ground for fresh original acts in my home city; Lynden. was the first artist in a long time that made me prick them up.

You will be available to stream You on all major platforms, including SoundCloud, from August 9th.

Don’t Ask Me: South London’s You, Me and Him ask they aren’t followed on ‘You Told A Lie’

Bringing us a kindly made taste of their wondrous new music with the first single from Standing in the Wrong Place’, You, Me and Him wonder the gardens in peace and ask for quiet again to reflect on this traumatic moment that shouldn’t of happened at all on ‘You Told A Lie‘.

You, Me and Him is a peaceful indie/folk act from South-East London, England, that was formed by singer/guitarist Jim Newman, and multi-instrumentalist/double bass player Max Goff. They make that deeply textured type of soundscape that is beautiful, and created with so much grace.

The songs from ‘Standing in the Wrong Place’ (forthcoming album) were written over the course of four years and recorded over two session in four days in their secluded South-London home. ‘You, Me & Him’ have created an album based around the minimal sound of voice, acoustic guitar and upright bass. The aim of the album process involved the musicians playing live in a
raw and natural setting. These performances were captured in the recording that you hear today. The finished album is an authentic body of work with a respect for the way in which the songs were written and recorded.” – You, Me and Him

This sound is so authentically calming, as you feel the sadness wrapped into his lyrics and superb voice. The soundtrack is a such a blessing to hear and you feel like you are listening to a song from another time. This is such a gem and you feel like you are intertwined into something quite special.

I was really struggling at the time, living on my own in the middle of a creative block. This song was inspired by a question of loyalty, which I’m sure everyone can relate to; but I think the melancholic message is coupled with an uplifting feeling that reflects the emotional process I went through.” – Jim Newman

You Told A Lie‘ from the London-based folk duo You, Me and Him, is a sad song that is all about that time when you are let down badly and the trust has been shattered like glass. You thought that you could trust them and now you feel so let down, as the feeling has your heart sore, and your mind set on getting away for a while.

This stunning new release from You, Me and Him is up there as one of the best folk songs of 2021.

Fresh Start: Leifer only wants them to grow together on ‘You (Everything I Do)’

With so much new-found self-awareness flowing rapidly into his lungs as he passionately calls for their love to be so much stronger than it has been lately, Leifer conveys his feelings to his partner that he is only here for the long-term on ‘You (Everything I Do)‘.

Leifer is a wandering Kinderhook, New York-based indie pop singer-songwriter and storyteller, who sings with so much conviction and growing maturity as he finds his true identity in this complex world, with many puzzles awaiting to be solved.

He sings with such flowing sureness that this is it, he is ready for more and the past is in the past. The core isn’t broken yet and wants to make this happen.

The harmonious melodies keep you intrigued like a neatly wrapped present that is almost ready to be opened — you think you know what it is but aren’t 100% sure — as the mystery keeps you locked into the picture, of what it actually is.

You (Everything I Do)‘ from the emerging Kinderhook, NY solo artist Leifer, draws us into the story of wanting to prove that he is indeed the real deal and a royal flush. The hope is that his partner gets it soon, otherwise he will be left wondering if it was even worth all the effort and time spent, building up trust and love in the first place.

Seaker sings with such elegance on the awe-inspiring new single ‘You’

Seaker sings with such elegance on the brilliantly-made and awe-inspiring new single ‘You‘.

After growing up in the North East of England in the UK, Kiran Hungin is a singer-songwriter with a mysterious feel to her. She doesn’t post much on Social Media and makes incredible music that is made so well. This is a proper singer, not worried about the glitz and glamour, she only wants to sing and inspire those around her.

“I try to make music that is epic and delicate at the same time. I love those spine-tingly moments when there’s an emotional twist in a song or a tiny whispered vocal moves into a huge layered block of sound. I think for a while I associated art with sadness and only took something seriously in an artistic sense if it was melancholic. That shows still in how I write, though I also feel very full of hope and wonder, so it’s not all doom and gloom.”

This is a glorious song, full of high notes and made with so much love. Seaker sings with such beauty which is often lost in this burnt world that needs a lot of tlc. ‘You‘ is a stunning effort from the UK singer who has a voice that puts you in a different place. I feel relaxed and the world seems a bit safe thanks to this terrific track.

London singer Rea can’t control her love on ”You”

You get the feeling deep in your bones and you just know it’s right. You feel like a teenager again and can’t stop thinking about them. Breathing properly can be hard sometimes and you pinch yourself. Is this actually real?

Rea is a quality singer from the UK and she effortlessly shows her emotions on ”You’‘. Formally from the Midlands, she is now based in buzzing London where she can stay close to all the best venues. Signed to Streets Music, I feel like we are witnessing a future star that is just getting started. Her voice is majestic and I can’t stop listening to her. The vocals are so clear and the love story is so relevant. The feeling of meeting someone that makes your heart flutter like a happy bird is a sight to behold.

Classically trained from a young age in piano, cello and clarinet, and vocals, this is one impressive resume. Add poetry to that list too. Influenced by Emeli Sandé and other artists in this genre, Rea strides through impressively to create her own lane in the music industry. This is a huge talent and her pop infused music is on full display with her scintillating performance on ”You”.
