Hyper Pop Hip Hop: Rufio Spenz – Adesanya

Hip Hop got a higher vibe with the release of LA-based artist Rufio Spenz’ latest energetic hyper-pop-tinged single, Adesanya, which proves that in our 21st-century, there’s no need to splinter our culture. If everyone could put their differences aside with their love of the Prodigy, they can do the same for the former punk and metal frontman who has transformed his sonic palette in line with the contemporary genre-melting times.

By fusing elements of West Coast hip hop with 90s alt-rock and dance-pop and running them through his melodic hooks, Rufio Spenz finally gave Labrinth some competition.

Adesanya is now available to stream on Spotify.

Only Money: The415Fortune keeps it strictly business on ‘Gone Til November’ (feat. Haystak)

As he ruggedly makes his way to the top of the hill where the tasty treasure is hidden after a tough climb upwards towards his goal, The415Fortune shows his work-hard mentality on the new get-that-money single ‘Gone Til November(feat. Haystak).

The415Fortune is a gritty West Coast, USA-born, South-based rapper. He makes that hunger-fueled music which is a movie-like experience, that shows you he refuses to let his youth define who he wants to be as a man.

Citing his struggles as a child and his unrelenting ambition as his main motivating points, The415Fortune looks to make his mark on hip hop history.” ~ The415Fortune

You sense that he is done speaking to people who are only intent on wasting his time, as he easily switches off the phone and keeps his mind on what he needs to do in order to be successful. His bars are hard as nails and he keeps in top form the whole way through, as he bites the mic off its hinges with a fiery effort.

Gone Til November(feat. Haystak) from the highly motivated US hip hop artist The415Fortune, shows us a talented artist who is on a mission to get to that paper stack that he desires. He isn’t interested in that fake talk and is grinding the only way he knows how in the distraction-free studio, so that all his dreams may be conquered away from the small-minded people around. This is a seriously-made track that is all about keeping your head down – as this is the right way to go in this quick-swipe world full of nasty potholes – that can suck you in deep like a swirling whirlwind.

Time heals most wounds: Frewen sends us a folk message of truth on ‘Because I know You’

Because I know You by Frewen

Frewen sings about real memories and challenges on his brand new single that features stunning vocals from his partner on ‘Because I know You‘.

From the wonderful west coast of beautiful West Wales in a cozy log cabin, we are treated to an indie-folk artist with a special message of self-awareness in this often-blameless world that seems so harsh, but shouldn’t be.

His voice is so real and you can feel the regret layered into each note. He is looking for redemption and her voice meshed into his, seems to fill him with confidence, calm him and the guidance from her angelic nature soothes over everything, to make it all so much better.

This is a cinematic song that starts off mysteriously alluring and doesn’t falter at all. You get lost inside this song and the haunting melody drifts into your heart and soaks away all self-doubt that has been built up over the years. Pure music like this, made with love and created to inspire, is so rare in this wild wild west world of current times.

This marvelous music creation puts you in a mood of self-reflection and no other distractions can take you away from this incredible track, that clearly means a lot deep inside each bone of his body. A modern day unknown legend, who is working on being a better man.

Hiding away from shame can only take you so far, eventually you need to face up and deal with it for that is how you find that desired freedom inside your soul.

Because I know You‘ from Frewen is a journey to fight away the pain and find yourself in that mirror to be the best possible version of yourself. In life, we can only try our best to not make the same mistakes. No one is perfect and as long as we strive to improve, that is all anyone can ever expect of us. Love must conquer over all.

Aric Thejoneskid releases ‘Not Worried’

Aric may have been started his musical journey in the tough South Side streets of Chicago, but Not Worried speaks more to the vibe of his adopted California home.  A fluid and meandering, ambient West Coast groove flows meditatively under his soothing and soulful chant leaving the grit of those formative northern streets behind and tapping into a more restorative mood.

If Rap, Hip-Hop and R&B often seem to have a self-aggrandising and passive-aggressive tone, sometimes without the passive, here we find Aric building a platform which any of those genres could use to promote a more positive, less self-centred and more connected movement. There is power in subtlety and it is the ability Aric has to strip his music back to a seeming less manufactured and more organic essence is something than makes this very powerful indeed.
