Artist 8udDha bl0od has dropped single 2:3

Yet another release from the unique talents from 8udDha bl0od himself, bringing in his upbeat instrumentation and his mellow vocals in his single ‘2:3’.

Starting off with the soft strum on the guitar, giving of this calming and rather uplifting essence as you listen, keeping the guitar at a soft pace and fairly low in volume as it plays alongside the vocals, the instrumentation is simple in terms of there is not a lot of instruments actually used, but the overall style of the guitar solos goes perfectly with the song.

He always has some pretty special vocal ranges, in each track they sometimes take a different approach in terms of pitch and overall tone but through this one they’re kept quite eerie and gravelly, really having that tone come from the back of the throat, giving it that more rough edge as they begin to sing.

Another fantastic piece by 8udDha bl0od always keeping his own sound shining through, be sure to keep up to date as he drops tracks pretty often!

George Beck – 90s/High: Nostalgic 90s Vocal Techno/House

George Beck dropped a music video for his song “90s/High” earlier this year. The title track couldn’t have been more self-explanatory: The nostalgia for the 90s rave dance scene kicks in vividly.

And the dance scene isn’t the only item that George Beck sings about in this old-school acid house/techno anthem. He is reciting his lyrics in an Underworld-style delivery, recollecting all the good stuff from the nineties, the clubbing and this song maker’s carefree youth and dominance of free will – representing a whole generation of people for that matter. Realizing that this is a contemporary recording is quite odd; the same goes for the VHS-imagery music video.

Naturally, this is a creation which shall generously give joy to people that dearly treasure these images, this mood, this lifestyle, even though this spiritual wealth might have been transformed to nothing more than a block of memories. Kudos to George Beck for blessing us with some precious name-dropping; everyone who was there/familiar with it all, will acknowledge and instinctively smile, for the rest there’s Wikipedia.

Thank you George Beck. This is “90s/High”, get nostalgic here

A&R Factory Present: Aaron Taylor

Earlier this year, London-based singer-songwriter Aaron Taylor quietly and somewhat mysteriously, without too much fanfare, released his debut EP Still Life. The three songs contained on the EP caught the attention of a host of music bloggers, and one song, ” Lesson Learnt “, appeared on a major TV ad for Apple Watch.

Aaron has since been working on new material, and “Be Alright” is the first song to be taken from a brand-new EP titled Better Days, due for release this autumn.

On “Be Alright” Aaron develops further the intoxicating fusion of soul, funk, gospel and R&B he revealed on his debut. He wrote the song as a statement of support, “Sometimes you need to encourage and remind yourself things will be OK” he says. “’Be Alright’ is exactly that: an encouragement to ourselves and a reminder of a simple truth that we will all be fine in time. We may need to rebel, we may need to struggle, but we’ll be good.”

The song forms part of a wider story behind the full EP – more details to be revealed in due course.

A&R Factory Present: Animal House

Australian indie-rockers Animal House create a raucous, energy-fuelled sound on their upcoming EP Sorry, out on 18th November 2016.

Having already received critical acclaim for their last single English Girls, Animal House’s new EP is filled with witty lyrical storytelling, racing riffs and infectious choruses. With its undeniably catchy, high-energy garage-infused sound, reminiscent of the likes of The Strokes and The Raconteurs, Sorry oozes a welcome tongue-in-cheek attitude.

Animal House explains that Sorry is an “apology to our parents, friends, past employers who put their faith in us to lead a sweet and comfortable life in Aus and instead we’ve blown all that on a shot at making music”. Remembering the hedonistic adventures they’ve had whilst making music, the band admit they’re actually ‘not sorry’, and revel in the fun they’ve been having in the UK on each vibrant and uptempo track.

Finally settled in the UK, Animal House have already supported the likes of Courtney Barnett, Surfer Bloodand Drenge to name a few. They have also received praise from the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac, BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq and Sean Keaveny, NME, DIY and Clash. They now hope to continue charming listeners with their “stupid garage pop songs” on Sorry.

Catch Animal House live at the following dates:

23rd September – Ryans N16 – London
28th September – Prince Albert – Brighton
28th October – Bleach – Brighton
2nd November – Rubi – Barcelona
3rd November – Paberse Matao – Valencia

5th November – TNT Blues Bar – Cox
6th November – Fun House – Madrid
