As he warmly encourages us to only transmit true love from our words and actions despite the dreadful fire burning all around us, AMD SPEAKS returns with his thoughtful new album called ‘Black Holes II‘.

Aaron Daniel aka AMD SPEAKS is a world class London, England-based spoken word artist. He carefully fuses that real storyteller vibe — that keeps your mind alive with that proper insight — despite what is going on in the world as we speak.

This is that rare piece of absolute brilliance, that is made with so much calm energy, as his relaxed tone of information forms a sheet of guidance, to cover up our eyes from the things which we don’t actually need.

There are all highlights here and ‘Grand Rising‘ (ft. Miss Yankey), ‘Sage‘, and ‘A Prayer’, are particular standouts on this superb nine track waterfall of emotions. His deep voice and truthful lyrics rises above all of the noisy conversation that ultimately, isn’t helping you at all.

This is that music release that strikes you hard in your beating heart, as you strive to be a better person and to not let fake gossip and garbage consumerism block your mind up, into the swampy gutter below.

‘Black Holes II‘ from London’s AMD SPEAKS, brings us that real word on life through his lens, as he perfectly encapsulates the vibe of the world, as he sees it right now. This is the type of album that is highly needed in this unconnected word that has malware flowing through everywhere like an infected water stream. The awaiting world needs more music like this to heal us all of those scars, that need some love and truth lathered all over.

Sonorous spoken words unravel in Untold Poet’s acoustic ambient single ‘Have You Heard It’

Untold Poet has joined Scroobius Pip in the ranks of Essex-hailing mind-blowing spoken word Hip Hop artists with the release of their latest single ‘Have You Heard It’.

In the acoustic version of their popular track, the meditatively Jazzy instrumentals trickle away, emitting ambience as the Untold Poet’s canter finds perfect synergy with the tentative keys which aurally paint a picture of still-life. There’s always the assumption that successful people don’t know adversity. It is all so easy to believe that everything comes easy to those who take roadblocks in their stride. As the Untold Poet consolingly points out, the key is resilience.

Any fans of George the Poet, Argh Kid, Kae Tempest and The King Blues will undoubtedly want to get acquainted with Untold Poet sooner rather than later.

OCCORO tightened the bond between poetry and RnB with ‘Nothing Gold Can Stay’

OCCORO’s single ‘Nothing Gold Can Stay’ will enamour fans of RnB and poetry alike. From the first offering of nuanced meta lyrical wisdom, attention piques as you prepare yourself to hear more linguistic prowess, OCCORO certainly delivers.

Nothing Gold Can Stay is the title track from the Dallas-born, LA-based singer-songwriter and producer’s debut EP, any fans of Robert Frost will recognise the title, while everyone will get a fresh distinctive sonic experience to indulge in when they hit play. Nothing Gold Can Stay does so much more than just cover the same RnB ground. With almost psychotropic Indie tones in the absolving soundscape, it is as rhythmically transfixing as it is lyrically powerful.

Their lexicon is just as awe-inspiring as their visceral ardent lyrical flow, and as for the production, you couldn’t ask for a more commanding and all-consuming feat of contemporary Indie RnB.

Anomaly Da’ God melds minimalistic Hip Hop with poetry in ‘Spoken Word’

Mindful and gently inspiring lyricism takes the lead in up and coming Hip Hop artist Anomaly Da’ God’s standout single ‘Spoken Word’ which dropped earlier this year.

Spoken Word transcends archetypal vibe-out Hip Hop by offering rhythmic catharsis which will leave you mellow, while the meta lyricism will set your synapses alight as it allows you to realise that it doesn’t matter how insane 2020 gets, if you’re operating on a higher level, you’ll still be able to achieve a level of zen. More pertinently, Anomaly Da’ God serves a melodic reminder that external chaos is no excuse to put your aspirations on hold.

The ambiently minimalistic dreamy beats give plenty of room for the wisdom to resonate in the slow tempo mix which definitely should be considered for your sanity-saving playlists.

Ryse has taken the UK Hip Hop scene by storm with their second single “When I Was Young”

UK Hip Hop artist Ryse broke the mould with their recently released evocatively resonant second single When I Was Young.

Whether it’s the mesmerizingly sombre instrumentals or the magnetic pull of Ryse’s atmospheric spoken word Rap bars on the prelude, you’ll be transfixed from the moment you hit play.

The candid verses retrospectively pull out resounding pearls from wisdom from the journey we all take from childhood to adulthood, while the choruses offer a combination of Pop and RnB Hip Hop giving When I Was Young plenty of earworm potential.

It’s really no surprise that after the release of their second single Ryse has been able to garner plenty of hype. When I Was Young is real talk. The track holds up a mirror up to your own perceptions, they might not be pretty, but ultimately you’ll be grateful that your eyes have been prized open with this authentically unforgettable hit.

Brethren Genuflexion seek to heal the world with their verbose reflections on the everyday and the sublime

“The reason that we’re doing this is to inspire people,” the eponymous Brethren intone on the statement as any, and it informs the inspirational poetry around which a shiny soundscape is constructed. Untold Poet is due to drop his most pensively poignant single yet with “Pieces” featuring Megan Rose

Essex-based wordsmith and Rap artist Untold Poet’s latest single “Pieces” featuring Megan Rose adds a significant amount of sincerity onto the airwaves. And that kind of honest, unfiltered connection is more essential now than ever.

Pieces puts our obsession and habits with social media under the aural lens, alluding to the suffocating nature of people’s behaviour online. Everyone’s an expert, everyone is holier than thou, everyone’s quick to judge, everyone is filtered… You may just end up wondering why you spend so much time scrolling through your news feed.

As the poetic Rap bars run through, you sink deeper into the narrative of the arrestive single. The pensively melodic Indie Hip Hop instrumentals also play a heavy hand in submerging you deeper into the soundscape. Adding Megan Rose’s smooth yet piercing RnB Pop vocals into the mix added even more weight to the track. Her vocals may be light and accordant but they share the same haunting air as the atmospheric stripped-back downtempo beats.

We’re ridiculously happy that Untold Poet has dropped onto our radar. After the transfixing track has faded to a close, you’ll undoubtedly feel the same.

Jen Myzel Has Released Her Spiritually Reflective Alt Country Pop Single “Be Longing”

With the poetic lyrics and the beguiling ease of the melodies, it’s impossible not to find yourself in a contemplative state while listening to Jen Myzel’s latest Alt Folk Country Pop single “Be Longing”.

With lyrical lines which feel like an introspective sucker punch and serenely stripped-back instrumentals, “Be Longing” is the perfect track to add to your ruminative playlists.

While there are many artists out there making a lot of noise without much to say, you’ll be able to find Jen Myzel’s distinctive sound on the other side of the coin. The Californian artist is perceptibly gifted when it comes to orchestrating uplifting and empowering soundscapes. Not by utilising abrasively ‘happy’ tones, but meditatively easing you into a better mind space with compellingly conscious lyrical wisdom.
