SPAREY – Sick Fade: Accessibly Fresh Urban EDM Pop

“Sick Fade” is the first single from the soulfully resounding Urban Pop artist SPAREY. With equal amounts of style and attitude, the single unfolds to the sound of glitchy breakbeats with plenty of dub and bass. The hooks grip you with a sense of familiarity and accessibility, yet, there’s no disputing that SPAREY has her own pioneeringly poignant style.

The turbulent melody to Sick Fade was effortlessly matched by the perfect meter and rhyme of the lyricism. As for the power and sultry allure of the vocals, you’d have trouble finding another artist to rival SPAREY’s decadently indulgent prowess. Once the 2:40-minute track abruptly comes to a halt, it’s hard not to feel as though you’ve been teased by the debut. I’m already in bitter-sweet anticipation for her to drop an album.

SHIVA – Go Figure: EDM Hooks Don’t Get Much Sharper

It’s dirty, it’s infectious, it’s sublime, it’s SHIVA’s upcoming single “Go Figure”. I can’t tell you the amount of robotically predictable EDM Pop singles that I have to get through each week, which is just one of the reasons why “Go Figure” had me hooked before the first verse had even ran through.

The radio-ready single packs in plenty of progression around dangerously sharp hooks which creates the ultimate feel good hype. The Indian cultural influences to Go Figure were subtle yet the effects allowed SHIVA to create a prodigal mix which is as perfect for your headphones as it is for the dancefloor.

You can check out SHIVA’s single Go Figure for yourselves from October 25th, 2018 via SoundCloud. In the meantime while you wait to hear your latest earworm, head over and listen to the artist’s page and check out his earlier mixes.

D.Y.D. Daleth Records – That’s Me So: Playfully Dark Hip Hop EDM

It’s pretty rare that you get to hear such a fresh mash-up of Hip Hop and EDM. Yet, with their single “That’s Me So” D.Y.D Daleth Records have produced a filthy urban beat which proves that with their unique approach they’ve got the sound locked down.

Each track on their 2018 album “Last Call” has its own playfully dark infectious style. But the hype behind the fluidity in the constantly thrashing multi-layered beat which packed in plenty of bounce was nothing short of infectious. After the amount of Emo Rap I’ve unwillingly ingested over the past few months, I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to discover up and coming artists that haven’t forgotten how to create lit beats.

Oceanovus – Lights: The Up and Coming Producer Who Has Set the Bar for the EDM Pop Artists

Judging by the haphazard attempts of most EDM Pop artists, no one would blame you for thinking that it’s almost impossible to find a synergy between the beat and the vocals. Yet, with his latest single “Lights” Oceanovus proved that he’s the triple threat when it comes to lyrics, beat production and vocals. So, if you’re looking for the perfect Pop hit to take to the dancefloor to, look no further than Lights which progresses with a club vibe and contains infectiously catchy choruses which I can guarantee you won’t forget in a hurry. Despite the seamless production there’s minimal effect on the vocals which are left to soar throughout the mix as you enjoy the depth of the drops and heights of the breakdowns. There’s a raw element of honest and humble emotion which drives the beat to Lights, regardless of how resounding the mix is. Alongside the heavy kicks of the 808’s the keyboard melody is kept audible in the multi-layered anthemic hit giving Lights an instantly accessible feel.

You can check out Oceanovus’s latest single Lights for yourself which was released on October 3rd by heading over to SoundCloud now.

I.L.Y.A – Uniqueness Patrol: Your New EDM Earworm

Considering that I.L.Y.A went with “Uniqueness Patrol” for a track title for his latest single, it’s a pretty good job it was a prodigally unique offering of EDM. The Moscow, Russia-based artist and songwriter has an undoubtedly infectious approach when it comes to pairing sticky-sweet melodies with playful lyrics versed by vocals which add even more euphoria to the track. There aren’t too many EDM artists out there adding the personal touch to their music which is why I.L.Y.A’s style is so refreshing.

The European influence is audible as the track runs through elements of the 80’s and 90’s offering a hit of nostalgia. Any fans of Empathy Test, Mesh, VNV Nation and Covenant are sure to love what I.L.Y.A have cooked up with their latest single. DJ Bokaj – Dragonfly: Progressively Pioneering EDM

Up and coming EDM artist DJ Bokaj has recently released his second single “Dragonfly”, it’s safe to say I haven’t heard a more progressive Electronica track in a long time.

As the beat kicks in you prepare for an archetypal Ethnic Electronica track, then the bass and the heavily dubbed kicks add an infinite amount of depth to the track as you switch between rhythms under the impression that DJ Bokaj set out to tease audiences with his unpredictable style. The midway switch up will absolutely floor you. Whilst the build up teases one hell of a drop, what follows is completely unpredictable and potentially leave you palpitating. Before I give away too many spoilers, why not have a listen to DJ Bokaj’s latest drop Dragonfly for yourself by heading over to Spotify now.

It may only be DJ Bokaj’s second single, but it’s already perceptible that with his pioneering vision when it comes to Electronica he won’t have a hard time standing out from the pretenders.

Mauway – For Something Real: EDM For the Hopeless Romantics

“For Something Real” is not a sound that you’d ever come to expect from an EDM track, so it’s safe to say the Dance producer Mauway created something pretty prodigal with his latest mix.

The prelude kicks off with a dreamy, ambient arrangement before kicking it up to a more resounding beat which would sound infinitely better blaring from club monitors. The track has everything that you’d expect from a dancefloor hit along with sweet, accessible vocals which flow in an R&B style. There may be a tad too much effect on the vocals, yet they flow synergistically with the beat expressing sweet offerings of romanticism to make sure For Something Real isn’t just a track which hit your eardrums, if the amount of soul poured into this track doesn’t make you feel something then it’s pretty safe to say that you’re dead inside.

HENRIKES – Happy: Neo-Classically Concordant EDM Pop

‘Happy’ is the debut single from the up and coming recording artist HENRIKES whose ability to create a soul-piercingly beautiful talents when it comes to creating ballads hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Whilst it takes a while for Happy to build up, once you’re safely in the melodic confines of the EDM Pop track you start to appreciate how expressively resounding the single truly is. Happy carries an almost primal beat which comes alive through the kicks of the 808 beats. After the first drop, Happy weaves through an orchestral alchemic chemistry to add an almost intangible amount of depth to the single. HENRIKES vocals offer just as much soothing catharsis as the instrumental progression of this track, and there is little I can say to prepare you for the concordance of this single.

You can check out HENRIKES latest single Happy out for yourselves by heading over to Spotify now, there’s also a stunning instrumental only version of Happy waiting or you to sink your teeth into.

Mark Richard – Ophelia: Subtly Euphoric Acoustic EDM

Whilst you may not have previously thought that tracks in the Acoustic Dance genre were a necessity for your playlists, you may think twice when you sink your teeth into Mark Richard’s latest single Ophelia.  Ophelia is just one of the stunning singles to be found on the Irish Acoustic Dance artist’s latest EP ‘Like Poetry’ in which the up and coming artist puts his experimentally ingenuity to the test. It will soon become clear why ‘Like Poetry’ was an apt name for his three track EP.

You may not expect much from the build up’s and drops in an acoustically composed tracks but they’re deep enough to leave your stomach in knots, the build ups are subtle, yet intricately compelling all the same. The rhythm which bleeds from the acoustic percussion created an earthy, almost primal beat which was fused with quintessentially Folk delicacy.

Kees – Get Away: A Bass-Heavy EDM Ballad

Get Away is the latest track by EDM Pop Songstress Kees, the single has already received in excess of 100k streams on YouTube since it’s release thanks to the instantly accessible yet resoundingly powerful sound. The vocal harmonies are flawless and the depth of the EDM beat is bordering on phenomenal. On top of that, you’re treated to overwhelmingly empowering vocals which hook you into the bass-heavy ballad.

There’s no denying that Get Away is a well-produced stellar track yet I would love to have hear the up and coming artist is a touch more originality behind the sound. That being said her already radio-ready sound is already gaining a significant amount of attention, and there’s little room to wonder why when it comes to her iridescently bright talent. I’m almost certain that this isn’t the last we’ve heard from Kees.
