Hard House got harder with the release of ZacTomRob’s devilish drop ‘Mischief’

High tempo, hi-energy EDM shouldn’t be a genre description, but in the case of ZacTomRob’s ‘Mischief,’ it absolutely is. Techno-tinged drum and bass with sampled, sequenced vocal parts and a thunderous backline of programmed drums, rising bass parts, and a killer drop, this is a proper Hard House club anthem in the making.

Following up from September’s killer ‘Light That Feeling’, ‘Mischief’ is absolutely the sort of track to get people onto dance floors and lighting up clubs across the country. Mixed and mastered by the great Michael Wenz (Frankie Bones, Alpha Quadrant, The DRP), ‘Mischief’ is proper old-school EDM at its best.

Florida producer Alex Moye gets it all right on ‘I Wanna Dance’

https://soundcloud.com/alexmoye/i-wanna-dance/s-PSy245D4uhF

Alex Moye is here to brighten up our hearts with his new song called ‘I Wanna Dance‘.

Alex Moye is a dance, house and EDM producer based in Jacksonville, Florida. From house-pop crossover track ‘Love Me Better’ to empowering EDM anthem ‘A Better Place’, Moye is known for his uptempo, high-energy dance beats with a pop slant that gets blood pumping and endorphins flowing. His previous single, ’All the Good Things’, was a nostalgic, feel-good club banger that brings summertime romance to the party. This new track follows those lines to terrific effect.

Creatively influenced by iconic DJs like Avicii and Tiesto, Moye first began producing music in high school. From 2018, he took music more seriously, and now views it as a critical creative outlet: “Making music is my escape from reality. I’m able to express things I want to say to people in the form of a song. It’s actually been very therapeutic for me.”

As a producer, Moye’s goal is to make people feel something: “Whenever I hear a song that invokes an emotion, whether good or bad, that’s powerful to me. I’ve always wanted to be able to do the same for other people. I’ve wanted to write music that will make people happy, or sad, make the hairs stand on their arms, or just want to dance.”

This is all about just wanting to head out onto the dance floor, confidence high and just ready to let all the stress go of life. It’s not worth keeping it all in and we just need to get this out of our system.

I Wanna Dance‘ is a bounce-laden track that gets everything right thanks to Alex Moye.

Ples Jones feat Coranny – Bleu Light: Cinematically Ambient Electronica

“Bleu Light” is the lucidly captivating latest single from up and coming Ambient EDM artist and producer Ples Jones. For this track, they borrowed the deft vocal cords of female vocalist Coranny. Coranny’s vocals brought a powerfully soulful dynamic to the otherwise slightly alien mix which was doused in layers of sonically lush reverb.

It is only when the track fades out you realise just how truly hypnotically immersive the single was. Ambient electronica doesn’t get much more cinematically accordant than this. While there are plenty of EDM artists putting mixes out there, tracks as rhythmically arrestive and cathartic as Bleu Light are still incredibly few and far between.

Clyde Rivers – “Stimulation” ft. Winnie Ford: Transiently Immersive Downtempo Bass

Clyde Rivers’ latest track which dropped in October 2019 may have kicked off with a fairly archetypal semi-ambient EDM Pop prelude. But from there on out, you’ll be immersed in a mix of constantly evolving downtempo bass-driven Electronica.

Winnie Ford’s vocals were the perfect choice for the spacy, futuristic mix which offers constantly driving momentous beats. It’s not all too often you find such synergy between the vocals and the beats in an EDM track. Yet, with Stimulation, the clever use of vocal effects allowed the sweetly magnetic vocals to perfectly gel with the rhythmically transient EDM dubbed beats.

The Los Angeles based artist perceptibly has plenty of ingenuity behind their mixes, it’s only a matter of time before they find themselves in the EDM charts.

Grover Stewart – I’ve Grown: Soulfully Lucid Deep House

If you’re looking for cathartically enamouring music which offers plenty of soul, the last place you’d think to look is the Deep House genre. But Grover Stewart’s debut track “I’ve Grown” which was made in collaboration with Andrew Stephen is a captivating soundscape of nostalgically-inclined groove bedded into a danceable modern mix.

It’s fairly perceptible through listening to the smooth jazzy single that Grover Stewart has been sitting on their talent for far too long. Their ability to orchestrate music which appeals to your rhythmic pulses at the same time as offering authentically sincere resonant expression definitely isn’t something which you hear every day.

It’s going to be incredibly exciting to see how Grover Stewart follows on from I’ve Grown.

Tate Tosto – Down: Melodiously Uplifting Deep House

London-based Deep House producer Tate Tosto has orchestrated yet another uplifting mix of melodiously immersive electronic rhythm with their latest release “Down”.

With Down, Phantasmic female vocals echo over the stylised beats which grip you through Tate Tosto’s rhythmic command. And even after four minutes of being enveloped in the invigoratingly progressive mix, there’s not one hint of repetition, each evolution in the soundscape serves to immerse you deeper in the polished euphoria.

I can only imagine how well it will go down on a dancefloor, but Down is a rare Deep House treat which offers aural catharsis whichever capacity you listen to it in. There’s no denying that it’s a danceable track, yet at the same time, it wouldn’t go amiss on your multipurpose playlists.

Down is due for official release on August 23rd, and you’ll be able to catch it for yourselves by clicking here.

Johnny Turk – Islands in the Sky: The Ultimate Deep House Party Playlist Essential

Summer is on its way, naturally, this means we get treated to hyped sun-soaked offerings of Deep House from up and coming artists looking to make their way into the charts. Turkish-born, Seattle-based producer Johnny Turk is a great contender with his recently released viscerally vibrant mix packed with the paradise-vibes which are all too tempting to dip into come the summer months.

With his latest release “Islands in the Sky” he’s made sure that his roots are audible within the mix, using world music around the more archetypal beats which are the cornerstones of Deep House.

The female vocals and lyrics ensure that you’re left with plenty of imagery as the single unfolds. It may be a short and sweet hit, but there’s no denying that the producer has pulled it all together with an incredibly deft command.

Felix Stenmark Gives Ke$ha’s “Die Young” the Deep House Treatment

Back in 2012, Ke$sha dropped one of the most iconic Pop hits of the decade with “Die Young”. While many people saw the track a flawless anthemic mix, Swedish producer Felix Stenmark saw room for potential. While the prelude may leave you under the impression that he contorted the soundscape to squeeze more ambience out of Die Young, when you get to the bridge Die Young evolves into an ingeniously clever Deep House mix.

The up and coming artist used the structure of the original to weave around layers of hard, bassy, house which switched between ominous and euphoric tonalities. While the original may have been a little too happy for existentialists to really appreciate the beat, you can certainly share in the nihilism with this mix.

Blanka Barbara – Amaranthine Forest: Galactically Ambient Deep House

Amaranthine Forest is the upcoming release from the Ambient Deep House artist Blanka Barbara. Through her previous releases, it is apparent that she an artist who possesses a uniquely cinematic and naturally organic approach to creating her richly textured sound. Yet her latest composition demonstrates her ability to dig deep into nature to find her distinctive patterns and loops which somehow carry as much transience as they pulsate euphoria.

From samples of birdsong, to sounds so sonic they’d be right at home in the Dr Who soundtrack Amaranthine Forest has it all. And the synergy between the acoustic elements and electronic effect is something that you’re going to have to immerse yourself into to truly appreciate the mesmeric power of Amaranthine Forest.

You’ll have to wait a little longer for the release of Amaranthine Forest, but you can check out some of the up and coming artist’s earlier releases by heading over to her official website.
