TIBIBI proves that romanticism still thrives in dystopic times through her celestial ballad, Aura

TIBIBI

‘Aura’ is the third confessionally passionate pop track from the alternative singer-songwriter, producer and engineer, TIBIBI. The dark and moody yet ethereally tender contemporary ballad spins a tale of loneliness and absolution through love. In a melodically powerful way, it reminds you that life is no fairy tale, but that doesn’t mean that you won’t wind up finding the salvation that you yearned for.

I can’t help admire how TIBIBI explored the fraught emotions as deeply as she delved into the euphoria of finally finding someone on your level. Aura is easily one of the sincerest songs that you will hear this year.

Aura is due for release on September 28th; you can check it out for yourselves by heading over to SoundCloud.

Linn Willner reigns as pop supreme in her single, Throne.

Sweden-hailing singer-songwriter, Linn Willner, showed the world how empowering pop is done with her latest dark pop hit, Throne. With the empowering lyrics and the sharp hell-hath-no-fury vocals, Throne is just as visceral as HBO’s Game of Thrones, but it is so much more than an angsty provocative track.

Just as with the original Riot Grrrl bands in the 90s, you instantly get a sense that the inspiration came from a deep and intimate place rather than through some twee inclination to better the world, and it is all the more hard-hitting for it. If you have ever been in a place where you’ve cursed your naivety and bounced back with scathing vengeance, this song is for you regardless of usual sonic taste.

While most artists struggle to find their authentic voice in the blossoming stages of their career, Linn Willner found that expressive confidence and boldness right from the start. We can’t get enough of her emotion-driven dark pop. Once the world gets a glimpse of her untamed passion and polished sound, we’re pretty sure they won’t be able to look away either.

Cavono has made his dark pop debut with the post-punk tinged album, Desires.

Cavono

Texas-residing artist Cavono has released his debut album, Desires; the best introduction to his post-punk-style crooning, dark trip-hop beats and alt-indie guitars is the hypnotic standout single, Glass.

If you could imagine the aural result from fusing styles of Hozier, Big Black Delta and the Editors, you can get an idea of how much sex appeal spills from this moody, folky feat of alt-indie pop. From the first verse, you’re pulled into the semi-orchestral soundscape by the sheer magnetism of Cavono’s soulfully morose vocal timbre, making the haunting ethereal tones in the genre-obliterating track so much more phantasmal.

Desires officially released on August 6th; it is now available via apple music.

Kaylin Cervini prescribes dark dance-pop with her intensely powerful single, ‘Bubble’.

Kaylin Cervini is set to release the most subversive dance-pop track of the year with her single, Bubble. After a moody, vulnerable and downtempo alt-pop intro, the single evolves into an intensely powerful feat of future pop that won’t fail to leave you galvanised.

The Rochester-NY artist has already made major waves with her sound that paradoxically offers intimacy despite the massive production. If you like your euphoric pop tracks to come with a heavy dose of realism, you’ll want to save a spot on your radar for Kaylin. Bubble finds a clever conceptual way to allude to the false sense of security happiness gives us and how exposed we feel when the rug is pulled from under us.

Bubble is due for release on August 6th; in the meantime, you can check out Kaylin Cervini on Spotify, Facebook and Instagram.

I Know You Need Me: Sensual Hollywood dark-pop singer-songwriter Aimee Saturne is stupendously insatiable on ‘Slow Burn’

Returning to bless our excited ears with her kiss-filled follow-up to ‘Like I Do‘, Aimee Saturne starkly lights up our intrigued imagination on the candle wax burning new single that will have you blushing in unadulterated delight on ‘Slow Burn‘.

Tantalizing risk-taker and Los Angeles, California-based dark-pop artist Aimee Saturne, is an awe-inspiring indie singer-songwriter, actor, and writer.

I don’t make music for the promise of money and never have. I make it because it’s my passion, and my art, it’s my therapy and my life’s obsession. As long as i love what i do, as long as I can express my own creativity and emotions and send it into the universe with nothing but the hope that maybe someone, somewhere in the world, might hear it and vibe with me.” ~ Aimee Saturne

This is the electrifying story of being with someone who you feel like you can be yourself with, as your hungry lips latch onto each others soft skin and never let go. You feel the immensely hot temperature only increase – as her gorgeously tipped voice is remarkably intoxicating – mixed smartly with a breathtaking beat, as she genuinely wraps our stimulated minds into a web of welcoming euphoria.

Slow Burn‘ from the sensationally talented LA-based dark-pop artist, writer, and actor Aimee Saturne, is the type of track you put on loud when you are with your lover. The passion is packed full and you feel the sensual energy oozing through the room as she moves closer to her chosen partner, while they lock eyes and fuel the nights activities with a cheeky smile.

This is a steamy track that shows her impressive progression, as we bare witness to a hugely talented artist in her prime, who certainly has our happily pulsating hearts beating uncontrollably.

Dark pop icon Francesca Monte has released her fierce new earworm, Vertigo.

Italian dark pop icon Francesca Monte has released her fierce new earworm, Vertigo; what Cher started with inventive vocal reverb, Monte has superseded it with her deliciously dark track.

Vertigo allows lyrics to run through like scorned spoken word poetry as glitchy harsh electronica beats make sure that your rhythmic pulses are entwined, ready for the colossal drops and broadsiding aural curveballs.

Instead of pandering to moody pop cliché’s, Francesca Monte ensured that the multifaceted emotion was as visceral as the melodic yet sporadically caustic beats. It is only a matter of time before she is a permanent fixture in the electronic music charts.

Jamskillet has released his intoxicatingly authentic alt-pop track, Waterfalls.

If you’re sick of superficial love songs, strap yourselves in for the impassioned sincerity in Jamskillet’s latest alt-pop track, Waterfalls.

On the basis of Waterfalls, Jamskillet has the talent it takes to reach the same heights as Mac Miller and Post Malone; his intoxicatingly authentic mash of urban and alternative elements resonates like no other. Thanks to the striking lyricism, intricate cold guitar hooks and dark trappy beats, you’d need a serious concussion to forget the earworm of a melody in Waterfalls.

Johnathan Murray has released his evocatively charged dark pop debut single This is War.

Up and coming pop artist Jonathan Murray has made his debut with the alt-pop single This is War, which captures the fragility of our human existence and emphasises the importance of love within it.

The way that the North Carolina-based artist creates parables between contemporary anxiety and romantic insecurity is nothing short of genius. The ingenuity is extended by his tonal palette that pulls influence from the likes of Twenty-One Pilots and Dragons. The synth-led soundscape is a sure sign that Johnathan Murray’s solo debut was well overdue; despite the raw, evocative nature, there’s a maturity found within his songwriting style and deliverance of pure, unbridled passion.

This is War is now available to stream on Spotify.

Chris Vega sends a siren call in his alt-pop single, ‘Dangerous’.

Chris Vega

Cincinnati-hailing self-taught singer-songwriter and music producer Chris Vega is set to release his stormy impassioned pop track, Dangerous. The single shines a light on the darker side of love, the side that tells you it is safer to play with the toaster in the bath than it is to fall in love, but we delve in regardless.

It’s no secret or exaggeration that relationships can allow our mental health to take a hit and vice-versa; Vega encapsulates this perfectly. It’s so much more than you’re archetypally prosaic ‘I can’t live without you’ love song; it’s an extension of compassion to everyone that has ever had to battle with affectionate feelings and mental health issues simultaneously.

PleasePrettyLea has released her dark theatre-pop ballad, ‘Ohheycide’

The darkly delectable princess of ethereal RnB pop PleasePrettyLea has returned with her latest single, ‘Ohheycide’; she’s lost none the arcane air that left us hooked on her preceding singles.

This time, she was daring enough to explore the complexities of suicidal ideation in her deeply conceptual music video. Starting with the lyrics ‘I wish you’d save me but you’re the one that breaks me’ captures the desperation that surfaces when someone tears you apart while you’re internally screaming for them to fix you. As the single moves through its stormy and shadowed progressions, there’s a visceral upsurge of the adrenaline that kicks in when rage starts to join apathy and debasing self-scrutiny.

Ohheycide is a stunning avant-garde vignette of the avenues our minds can take us down as we spiral down a depressive hole. It is the antithesis to plastic pop that always feels the need to follow a redemption story. Ohheycide compassionately tells you that on some days there’s scarcely anything but darkness, but that doesn’t mean that you don’t deserve a tomorrow.

The official music video is due for release on July 14th. You can check it out for yourselves by heading over to YouTube.
