”All the Way” from Rhonda Merrick is a story of love and so perfectly explained. She is ready to settle down and sing. Her family is important to her and with these three passions, she is now happy. Coming from a music family has been a blessing and a curse. Rhonda is now moving above all doubts and the time is now here. After being close in 2011, the timing was off when she almost signed with Universal Music. Being a Mom meant so much more. 2020 has been a challenge but when the going gets tough, the tough get going.

I feel like Rhonda Merrick is starting to build up her confidence and she will make a huge impact from now on. She is a musician who has been waiting in the wings to fly. It’s your time Rhonda. Be free and do what you love.

David Naylor and Bambie create sweet melodies with folksy ”Havana”

You lose your memory and everything is still. You see glimmers but it’s still not the same. Then slowly, your memory starts coming back and realization hits you. You are a fantastic singer-songwriter. This is the story of England’s David Naylor.

David Naylor is a soulfully real singer-songwriter who lost his memory after an unfortunate brain injury in 2017. He realized that he had been a musician and began to record the songs that came back to him after waking from a coma.

Some smart studio is going to make a movie of his life, I am almost certain. What a story. The fact that he came back to sing is so inspiring.

”Havana” is a duet about two people who meet in the warm summer rain. A cute story that is very romantic and one that any single person would like to experience. I see you typing in ‘flights to Havana’ into Google.

Bambie’s influence can not be understated here. She sings so beautifully and complements with David’s fantastic voice perfectly.

This song is so creative and features David Naylor (vocals, conga, clave), Bambi (vocals), Gilly Spencer (piano), Will Franden (Double Bass), Allesandro Gugel (Acoustic Guitar), Emiliano Bonanomi (Electric guitar) and Fabian Suske (Engineer). You always need a great team to create masterpieces right?

There are subtle nuances of Psych Pop and Alt Folk Pop within the soundscape which tangibly shimmers with aural resolve in a way that any fans of the Beatles and the Zombies will undoubtedly appreciate. Yet ultimately, the essence of the single lies in the magnetic resonance which will hit you as soon as you hit play. 83 7H3R3 4 M3 is the instantly endearing single from 8udDha bl0od which any fans of  The Smashing Pumpkins are going to want to check out.

The acoustic Alt Indie track may seem a little twee in comparison to 8udDha bl0od’s other releases, but the captivating tones offered an all too welcome view of the artists more amorous side.

The intricately quaint acoustically-carved reggae melodies created the perfect platform for 8udDha bl0od’s soft yet sonorous all the same vocals. My soul feels significantly fuller after listening to 83 7H3R3 4 M3, if yours still functions, it’s likely that you’ll feel exactly the same after listening to the aurally resolving track fade to a quiescent close.

Bethany Ferrie – Stayed: A Magnetic Indie Pop Minefield of Instrumental Hooks

With some of the sharpest hooks I’ve heard in an Indie Pop single in quite some time, up and coming Glasgow-based artist Bethany Ferrie’s latest single “Stayed” comes highly recommended.

Her striking talent isn’t shy about revealing itself through “Stayed”. Bethany Ferrie’s magnetically expressive and warm vocals do most of the heavy lifting when it comes to pulling you into the melodically crafted hit. But the light and accessible rhythms also do their fair share of the alchemic work in Stayed.

With plans to drop new music throughout 2020, you’ll definitely want to put Bethany Ferrie on your radars sooner rather than later.

Disparate Souls – I Know Me Emotively Haunting Acoustic Folk

If Disparate Souls aren’t already on your radar, can you really call yourself an acoustic folk pop fan?

With the release of their latest self-titled album, they have proven that their sound is about as quintessential as it gets. The standout track “I Know Me” is a rare soundscape which offers haunting intimacy alongside a glimmer of upbeat energy. Any fans of Tom Waits, Cohen, and Bob Dylan will appreciate the slightly archaic tonality of I Know Me. But Disparate Souls isn’t an artist who clings to nostalgia. There’s vibrant modernity found within the single which reflects the artist’s pioneering approach to sound.

I Know Me is the aural equivalent to someone smiling while their pain refracts through their eyes. There’s an analogy I never thought I’d write. But there are few other ways to allude to the potent emotion which runs through the full-bodied, captivatingly emotive single.

Sorrel – Window Shades: A Transfixing Acoustic Folk Pop Lullaby

There’s aural concordance, and there’s being put into a catatonic stupor by deftly melodious feats of gentle alchemy. With up and coming acoustic singer-songwriter Sorrel’s latest single “Window Shades” we definitely found the latter.

Any fans of Elliot Smith and Paul Simon should prepare to be enamoured by this evocatively arrestive acoustic hit which allows the guitar to weave around the piano keys and the depth of the quiet vocals which transform Window Shades into a transfixing lullaby. Instead of the same four-bar chords, you’ll be able to appreciate the delicately distinctive fingerpicking guitar patterns, which despite their lightness offer plenty of sonorous captivating complexity.

If you haven’t noticed, I can’t say enough good things about Window Shades, finding an artist who offers such an immersive transient experience is like finding a needle in a haystack. They’re more than worthy of 3:56 minutes of your time.

Charles Cleyn invites you into Acoustic Folk Pop ambience with their latest single “Sorry”

“Sorry” is the irresistibly charismatic single from up and coming Acoustic Folk Pop artist Charles Cleyn who finds the perfect balance between playful vocal charm and lyrical depth in his soundscapes.

Straight from the first reverberant note in Sorry, you’re immersed in a polished, organically rhythmic, hook-filled track which offers real candid emotion. Such a vibrantly upbeat single gently tackling issues such as self-harm definitely isn’t something you hear every day.

Amongst other mellifluous aspects, Sorry constantly feeds you irresistible rhythm and you’d have to be soulless to refuse. Even though Charles Cleyn’s latest single offers plenty of contemporary appeal, the up and coming artist shares the same magnetic sensibility of artists such as Paul Simon who offer colourfully narrative restorative catharsis with their tracks.

Angelo V – Dragonfly: Distinctively Sweet Acoustic Folk Pop

If the first verse to an acoustic Folk Pop track doesn’t charm you, it’s pretty likely that the rest of the track will fall flat. Yet, it was immediately obvious from Angelo V’s quintessentially sweet soundscape in his single “Dragonfly” that he’s the sort of singer-songwriter that you don’t stumble across all too often.

The track progresses into an off-beat ska rhythm to break up the seamless fluidity of the acoustic chord progressions – which are as easy to listen to as breathing to add texture to Dragonfly which is the second single released by the London-based artist.

Whilst it may be hard to differentiate most Folk Pop songs from one another, Angelo V’s arresting command of melody and ability to feed the layers of harmony from his vocals into the composition sets him apart.
