Scholesy blew us away with his debut Indie Hip Hop single “Nights” earlier this year, yet, it’s clear in the short time between the releases the up and coming artist has taken his sound to a whole new level. With his latest track “Washed” off his up-coming EP “Chrome Alone” Scholesy has kept the same raw, melancholic vocal approach. Washed stands as a testament to the diversity of Scholesy’s vocal talent, Within the short and sweet three-minute progression there’s still plenty of room for resounding vocal harmonies alongside his softly, yet relentlessly delivered rap vocals to create an immersive soundscape. The beat may take a while to kick in but listening to the intricately enthralling breakbeats alongside the almost primal rhythms slowly gain momentum only adds to the track’s ability to arrest you through the prodigally mastered mix.
