Alt Rock artist Ryan Trudell has proven to be the master of arrestive preludes with his latest single “I Never Knew”. With a chilling intro which would be just at home in a Cradle of Filth track, I Never Knew keeps you guessing until you’re in the safe confines of the contagiously vibrant chorus.
From the prelude the soundscape soon transcends into a melodic Rock masterpiece with a touch of Indie. The haunting orchestral layers continue to bring the atmospherics throughout the single, contrasting against the light tonality of the guitar which builds up to a jaw-to-the-floor impressive riff, standing as a testament to Ryan Trudell’s instrumental talent. Equally as impressive are Ryan Trudell’s accessibly inviting, slightly Indie Pop Rock style vocals which round off the track perfectly through the soft versing of the poignant lyricism.
