“We All Live” is the sobering tribute to rapper and community activist Nipsey Hussle who tragically lost their life in March 2019. The Rap scene has had some tragic losses recently, hell, it’s always been a minefield, N.W.A. rapped about it, in the 80s, and it’s still just as prevalent today. This prevalence of suffering is exactly what Profeta X poignantly captures in his latest single.
The lyrically-driven downtempo single carries heavy sentiment, yet the beat is kept light, gentle, and almost comforting as you let the depth of the devastation of another life lost sink in. Even without the iron wrought emotion which has been poured into We All Live, it’s still an incredibly visceral, solid, and arrestive soundtrack will leave you transfixed with each soft progression.
